1:12 I mean, Beerus is right. By Trunks traveling to the past the first time, that resulted in Cell coming over, which was not supposed to happen. That resulted in the death of Goku, and even Trunks’s own death. It’s painfully clear now that Trunks and future Bulma had no idea of the complications their time jumping would cause, so they shouldn’t have been doing it again as they keep messing up the time continuum.

if trunks didn't travel to the past cell would have killed everyone any way's goku would have died to the virus and the earth would have cease to exist so while he did create some alternate futures he ultimate helped save one of them and beerus is one to talk because technically trunks saved his life remember with everyone else dead by the androids there would be no one to stop buu him and babadi would have hunted down the supreme kai and killed him thurs killing beerus in the process (hell that's what happens in trunks future)

So it would seem that if Trunks had done nothing and no time machine existed he would've stopped 17 and 18 not too long after he would've gone back the first time. But then Cell would show up and killed Trunks because he wasn't strong enough to defeat Cell without the extra training he got in the time chamber. And with no time machine and no Androids Cell would've been stuck in his Imperfect form forever. So I guess Cell's time is the true timeline

Beerus wouldn't have succumbed to Buu. Buu is evil energy, not destroyer energy so he is not exempt from a handy Hakai. The whole reason Beerus is a diety is that he is proven to handle whily cretins like Buu And besides by that point earth was a wasteland and Babidi would have no reason to scope out saiyan energy readings with his magic. The androids had no ki and Cell was busy hunting Trunks in their time loop, so our world was as good as rubble, maybe try another planet with freaks of nature Zamasu may have posed a threat, but again, his black form was a mortal. His immortal form was proven less adept at fighting than Beerus, so it doesn't make sense that the two of them would tango. How many times would you chance a licking before throwing up your hands? Just because he can't die doesn't mean he can't experience pain Maybe I'm confusing the lore here, but my own headcanon just can't conceive a plot where Zamasu would try that shit on his own. Big fish prefer a little pond. And besides, Beerus prefers to sleep. Whether or not one world or another faces an extinction event is of little concern. Zamasu is the only one who seems to be concerned about the ethics behind it. Which is somewhat ironic considering that if Beerus had more of regimented scheme to his destroying, the universe might order itself to Zamasu's liking. People less inclined beat each other over the head because of a reverence/ foreboding of retribution

Time travel doesn’t effect the current timeline, it merely creates another one or have we completely forgotten the Cell saga where killing larva Cell present didn’t erase Perfect Cell that came from the future or the two androids that despite changing their ways in the present, still left Future Trunk’s timeline demolished by them in the future?
