Justin, I have been playing guitar since 1967. When I was in High School in Covina California I was walking thru an alley behind a local music store. I took a peek in the stores dumpster and I saw a box with guitar parts to include an old Fender Telecaster neck in absolute perfect condition. I took the box the following Monday to my Wood shop Teacher Mr. Willard (crazy, his name just popped into my brain just now after all of these years). He told me, son, you have the beginnings of a music machine and the rest is history. Sadly over the years my first guitar just got up and grew some feet and disappeared. :(... I have to say buddy, I really like your style, you have some crazy guitars. I’m officially retired now, I just ugh!!! Turned the big 70 years young. I am a retired US Military Combat Pilot (Blackhawks). 26+ years flying in the Army and 8+ years flying Civilian EMS single Pilot helicopters (almost 35 years) I will never ever get into another helicopter, believe me they are dangerous machines, I will say though as you master your Ax’s I Mastered flying Helicopters, I never crashed one but believe me I had many a close call, those bad dudes in Iraq almost got me one day flying into Baghdad International Joint Iraqi / US Air Force airport. Keep up your playing it’s awesome, I like your Attire also, suites your playing, I too really was a Johnny Case Fan, especially in his later years. Be safe, live long & prosper as SPOCK said, God Bless Dustoff Out (I flew 15 years as a Dustoff Pilot in the Army & in the 1970’s I was a Los Angeles County Emergency Paramedic, my future and STILL partner wife hasn’t kicked me out of the house so I must have done something right

You remind me in some ways of my first boyfriend in high school (1970-71) who played acoustic guitar and sang like James Taylor and wrote his own songs, too. I Loved him to distraction! Long hair, curly though, like mine (friends used to comment about our similar hair), tall, thin, and wore a hat, too! Of course, he wrote a song for me! I always wanted to be with a musician after that, but never did!? But the romance in a musician's soul, well some anyway, is the draw. And when I watch you play, I can not only see but feel the Joy you feel - everything from the sound of the Music itself that you hear in your head and then produce through your hands and those very nimble fingers, to the confidence in your ability and skill and never-ending desire to learn and experience more. Am I on target there, maybe? 😉 I used to play piano and I had the burning desire to write my own songs, but I've been denied that gift this time round for some reason. I used to, and maybe still can, write lyrics/poems (ala Joni Mitchell) that my first boyfriend inspired me to do, but the Music - I just can't make it happen.😢 So even as I Love, appreciate and Enjoy Infinitely the Music, I am also just a touch envious of those who have the Grace of that gift, and still wish that I could do it, too! Sound great! I like to use a copper pipe and file it with sandpaper to give it a bit of a gritty feel to it. I find the regular glass sides to 'slippery' if you know what I mean.

I was long time thinking it is Clapton, Page, Hendrix, Keith Richards and similar artists who have most awesome guitars in the world ! They might have most expensive guitars but their guitars dont come even near to pure raw awesomeness of JJ˙s guitars ! I mean, this guitar is made from barrel of JD, hardly there can be more quality wood than is wood of those barrels, plus this guitar have imprint of whiskey in it, who know how long best quality whiskey was in this barrel before was made into guitar, there is energy, smell, vibration of whiskey in this guitar and this guitar is not just pure blues guitar, this guitar is blues and JJ is pure embodiment of blues ! Even for his guitar words are not enough, what then to speak of JJ himself, I dont care if JJ will be or not as famous as other well known guitar gods, for me his playing is most awesome what I ever heard, it heal your soul, it calm your restlesness, it makes you feel life is beautiful full of energy and mystery and it is right there we just need to be able to feel and see it and JJ help me to realise how amazing truly is life and how powerful spirit we truly have, and JJ`s spirit can be so much felt through power of his music, this is maybe little bit over the top, but even my discovery of Page, Hendrix and Clapton cannot surpass discovery of JJ and his music, it is something most beautiful that happened to me in beautiful world of music, fairy tales become alive with his help, his playing is pure grace for me it is He who is true guitar god !! But look and feel this incredible guitar and incredible man that plays it, this amazing sound, ..words cannot even touch that, they are so shallow in such futile attempt ...!!
