I've had a pretty hard life, for such an easy heart... how can such simple lyrics hit so hard and be so perfect? One of the many reasons Ryan Adams will forever remain a favorite. No other artist has displayed the extreme versatility that he has while making each style sound completely natural

Agreed. But maybe Gram passed that down,as you know he was the bridge that gave us the likes of the 70'S singer-songwriter types. And brought us out of an era and into another. Ryan Adam's actually covered one of his song's.I just saw it.And didn't realize it was a cover, till I noticed he kept grams style in the arrangement.

One of the best songwriter of his, and my, generation. No doubt. To your point I hate to point out the obvious, Mr. Bob Dylan displays extreme versatility over his 50 years of songwriting. And it's quite obvious Ryan Adams knows the cannon. I'm also going to throw Jeff Tweedy out there...versatile, brilliant.

@@pameladarlenewoodward8385 Parsons got that from me, or anyway as Graham lay dying ( began to) lots of lyrics and storylines got shuffled…including ‘wild horses’ which mysteriously POPPED UP almost on that anniversary….Grahams demise

@kittyflumpin exactly, "too achingly lovely to endure." I couldn't say it any better. The sad majesty of this song from someone so young at the time. I love so many of the other Whiskeytown songs, but this one is in a class of its own.

Put the houses in a row On the streets we used to know And all the things out in the yard Beckoning there to and fro And if the money isn't right Can I be yours tonight? I've an easy heart And from the windows of your house Reflects back on yourself And it gets you wonderin' If it means anything And if the money isn't right Can I be yours tonight? I've had a pretty hard life I've had a pretty hard life for such an easy heart You move away when you're young They take away where you're from And all the things out in the trees Fall away into the breeze And if the money isn't right Can I be yours tonight? I've had a pretty hard life I've had a pretty hard life for such an easy heart Easy heart Easy heart Easy heart

Hello, I'm Fluttershy. i'm here to tell you this brief message. OneRepublic is just fine. I happen to like them and Whiskeytown at the same time! it's not possible right? well, it is. So anyway, to me, your comment sounded kind of rude. Maybe it's all in my head but to me it did. And so @KakkoiiNY, i'm proud of you for liking both bands. And you sir, to me are rude. That's all! have a good day! :)

sciencetrumps..that isn't parsons he's channeling..not a channel at all: those are my lyrics and i'm older than graham and they were written probably before he wrote many:· investigate the provenance of the parsons/stones assoc. and where/when 'wild horses' arrived.?

wondering how it comes to be my comments for "song for you' just preceeding this one are no longer there:: a completely serious chapter in the past life of graham parsons to have a song written around the time of his demise attributable to you and not released till post 2000 and having been written by a songwriter who had scarcely ever listened to you...ron belin= as iterate, strange these sentiments are being dismissed graphicall.y

i was obviously kidding. My point was: Whiskeytown IS a billion times better, & why do people listen to 1Repub when they could see this instead. It's called "irony" , something RA could appreciate
