Fantastic! My two biggest backcountry heroes together! Kevin Ride is to backcountry cooking as Bill Mason is to canoeing. I'm so thankful you talked him into self-publishing this phenomenal book.

Aw, my 2 favorite Kevin’s together at last! I thought I was the most super well-versed person at dehydrating food for wilderness trips until I picked up Kevin Ride’s book. Now I have a bunch of new dishes from Kevin’s Book to surprise my companions with. Oh, and I would love the sweet sour pork recipe, hint-hint Kevin Ride 😊

Kevin...Ride that is, really changed how I prepare for the backcountry. His book really is the best out there. The Soba noodle one is a stable. Delish!

Great interview. Some of my favourite backcountry recipes are from Kevin’s channel and his book.

We absolutely love Kevin's book, and his channel! We often bring the spinach and mushroom risotto into the backcounty with us. We very much appreciate his extensive tree knowledge and look forward to more of those videos as well. Thanks for having him on, Mr. Callan - two great Kevins in one video! Cheers!

Thanks Kevins!! Love the book and how leftovers can become your next dehydrated meal. A friend also bought it and tends to actually use the more of the recipes because she actually cooks! Thanks for the slow cooker chicken idea for better dehydrating results. As far as eggs, have you ever used egg powder? Our local grocery store, here in Wisconsin, uses egg powder in their bakery and after trying their egg powder it is now my staple for eggs. I use it for scrambling and in plastic bag baking in my old BakePacker. One of the last times I purchased it the baker asked if I was going to the Boundary Waters as those that come in for the powder mention that it is for their canoe trip. So...I am not the only one who uses it for tripping. Anyway thanks and look forward to your new book!!!

Great video! Have you tried Harvest Foodworks for some ingredients? They have a range of ingredients products.
