UPDATE: The Foster City Costco store recently got its exterior logo signs replaced with its current logo in Futura Extra Bold Italic typeface. The Foster City Costco store was the last Costco location in the planet to use the old original logo since 1994, using the Helvetica Black Extended typeface since 1983. Even though the exterior logo signs used its current colors red and blue, the typefaces on the logo signs made the store unique from others. There are two other Costco locations (both opened in mid-1990's) that at one point also beared the original logo for a long time in Simi Valley and Roseville CA. They both had their original logos signs colored entirely red. However, both locations got their exterior logo signs replaced to the current logo in the mid-2010's.

That barrel proof is Rare Breed Rye, which is one of the best values in bourbon (along with its non-rye cousin). How is it that Costco has Lagavulin 16 for $75 when it is $130 at Safeway (and most other retailers). I would expect Safeway to be about as big as Costco volume wise (but I'm just guessing). That gift box looks like an advent calendar for whiskey. I did the Premium one from The Spirits Co last year and it was pretty fun.

That Redwood Empire "Emerald Giant" Rye that you picked up and said "no" to, is one of my favorite Rye Whiskies. I bought a couple of them a few days ago at that Costco. It is $10.00 cheaper there than anywhere else. They don't get it too often and was only $3.00 more than they sold it a year or two ago. A great find for me.

You have a much better selection than here in Arizona. I saw that scotch whisky tasting set a month or so ago and didn't get it, and now I regret not getting it as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I'm always on the lookout for Irish and I've had a few surprises here locally. They've had Midleton Very Rare which I missed out on, but I managed to grab the last RedBreast 21 for $300. They have also had BallyKeefe in and out at a decent price. Not much else for Irish other than Jameson and Kirkland. They've had Teeling and Jameson Black Barrel Proof previously.

@@WhiskyMystery I called around to my local Costco using the SKU for the Whisky Tour set shown in your video and they actually had them in stock, so I picked up one each for me and my daughter. Strange how some Costco's get something one week and others get it a few weeks later. Only the nearest one to me in Chandler has the locked high-dollar cabinet. Possibly the one in Scottsdale, but not the other three in my area.

Ive had both Glengoyne 21 & 25 The 25 is so much different than the 21….it’s honestly one of the top 1-2 drams (outside of special cask strength bottlings) ive ever tasted.
