Great review! You know Nc'nean completely passed me by?! And Lindores Abbey almost did the same? INew distilleries opening faster than I can drink! I am glad thought that they all seem to be challenging the incumbents with integrity malts.

These distilleries were built to make Single malts and not to support blended scotch

Picked a bottle of this up from the distillery on the day of release. Beautiful place and knowledgeable local staff. Shared it a lot, also put it in blind tastings too. Looking forward to how it matures. Cheers Jason👍

Sounds very promising, can't wait til these get 10 and 12 years old. Yeah no new distillery has a first release under 50. Some do with say Bourbon, but no way with a single malt.

It's definitely worth a buy if you see it. Young but no feints and it tastes older than it is.

I picked up a bottle and very well done to Lindores for not playing the game. Just for once we were able to buy a bottle of these 'first release' wonders and for a reasonable price. It's not great but it is very good and will improve I imagine. The prices of whisky from new distilleries is an absolute joke and scandal. I appreciate they need to make some money back but they could do it the old fashioned way, like Penderyn, and sell some gin or a liqueur to keep the coffers rolling in. But, no, they have to announce their arrival with a mega-statement that costs £80 for a 3 year whisky. I like Bimber but the price is irritating. The same can be said for Waterford. They are getting away with it because large parts of the whisky community are obsessed with ownership and when that ownership is expensive then the product has to be good - Right? Then come the bragging rights and exclusivity. It's been going on in the wine world for a very long time but the same behaviour is taking place in whisky today. This bottle, good though it is, is not worth a cent more than £50 and we should factor in the fact that there are dozens of whiskies better for less. I'm not knocking it and I applaud Lindores for doing the right thing. We don't need the packaging which we throw away anyway. Unless it's in a fancy tin can I couldn't care less. Cheers Jason. WT
