Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZbin, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZbin. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZbin, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

You are gonna be blown away by the Uncle Tupelo track. It's that "harder side" of alt country...

Good reaction to Whiskeytown. Ryan Adam solo is worth a listen. My 2 favorite Alt Country bsnds are the Jayhawks + Wilco. Wilco's "Being There" was their breakout record,and it's outstanding but there Mermaid Ave. records are the peak (IMO). They received permission from Woody Guthrie's daughter to go thru lyrics he'd written when sick living in Beooklyn. Wilco + Billy Bragg make magic putting music to the words and it sounds like nothing I'be heard before. "Laying on our Mountain Bed" from Vol. II id a real high point. The Jayhawks, from Minnesota, broke out w "Hollywood Town Hall" was their breakout disc and my favorite record is "Smile". Check 'em out.

I think it's pretty obvious to old timers that one or some of these fellows have been influenced by New Riders On The Purple Sage, and/or the early Pure Prairie League.

This is the definition of alt country. There are too many modern elements to be considered "traditional"
