I’ve done this in the U.K. at BPW (except it was 8 ribs with the puncture, the lung bruise, a clavicle and I have no recollection before I woke up). The impossibility of being simply unable to breathe is baffling at the time and remains so. That noise we make due to trying to breathe is deeply disturbing for those with us and watching now as I recall my event last year (my daughter was following…). Still, all fixed within a few months and shredding for the last 6 months full on in the parks here in the U.K., especially Dyfi and the recently reopened Revs. And, I was 67 at the time: being fit and living the dream keeps you young and healing fast 🎉 …. and my daughter, in her 30’s, has decided to go back with her partner to New Zealand to live to ride and live the dream - she thinks it’s safer being as far away from me as possible 😂😂😂

JB, not an easy watch at all. I guess better broken ribs than a broken neck/back....probably good that you know how to crash better than the average. Positive that could have been much worse. Happy to hear you are getting back to good health. 1st priority, brother. All the best with your recovery! Props to the riders/medical responders for their quick action as well.

Always impressed that you never crap on other riders on the trail. It’s refreshing to see you just go around others that are scoping out the trail. So many other KZbinrs would make fun of those people standing on the trail but I’ve never heard you do that. You seem like a good dude. Best of luck on your recovery.

I took a helicopter ride off a moto track aftera crash. Lots of broken bones. I only had 3, 100% displaced ( fully snapped) ribs. After the doc sewed my leg up, 2 male nurses brought me to my room. I told them I don't look like I weigh a lot but I'm a solid 210lbs. They dropped me. The noise that came out of me didn't sound like me. I passed out because the pain shut my brain off. I'm glad you're going to be ok. Believe me, it could have been much worse.

This happend 31 december 2020, great way to end a year😂😂 2 weeks wheelchair, 1 week crutches, total of 4 weeks later back on the bike (verry easy and slow on the street) Everything healed and still riding to this day at almost 41years of age👍 I wish you a good recovery and hope you'll be on a bike again verry soon, love your videos! It can happen tot he best of us, and you were that for a while there, absolutely incredible skills. Thanks for the wake up call Jordan, and for sharing the footage - makes it all real. You're an inspiration man, hang in there.

Never really watched mountain bike content but loved every bit of this. That fall was gnarly and man was I worried for you. Glad to see you're recovering well and earned the right to say you've flown in a helicopter now! I will say, after rewatching parts after the GoPro to DJI switch, I can't pinpoint why, but I prefer the GoPro footage more. You definitely earned a subscriber!

I horse ride (one of the most dangerous sports) and I was terrified watching you! I have to say the fall did remind me of hitting the ground in a poorly maintained school (it felt like hitting concrete) and getting really winded, so I kinda feel your pain! If only a little! Get well soon!

Shit man I know the feeling. I fractured four ribs on left side which required a chest tube. Ill never forget the PAIN/discomfort. Getting back on the bike was purely psychological. Pain is temporary. Redemption will occur. Glad to hear your recovery is going well.

as a skier and snowboarder that "eughhh" is so feelable. You feel your muscles reel and you almost tense for a second, before slumping and feel blood rush. looked TOUGH, u a soldier.
