Fullbody with complex background commission for Arquerite on Deviantart of their very pretty oc, Helena! I will admit I felt a tad overwhelmed by the background going in since there were so many elements I wanted to have. But luckily I think it all turned out pretty well and wasn't as taxing as I thought it would be haha xDD

Tools Used
I used a free digital art program called Medibang Paint Pro to do most of the drawing, and then exported the file to Photoshop CC to make the final colour adjustments. If you're ever on the look out for a really awesome and easy to use digital art program I really highly recommend Medibang! It features a ton of awesome brushes and supports a lot of the basic features that digital artists need u I'll have a link down below to their website!

the problem that i have with learning with speedpainting videos is that every single one of them goes like this in my head: 1.ok so theres the sketch, i see. 2.yeah choosing colors and putting down flats ok 3.ok isee deciding where light and shadow is ok 4.great setting the mood now 5.oh adding some details, wonder how he does that so great... 6.MAGIC HAPPENS AND EVERYTHING BECOMES AWESOME

Yay another awesome speedpaint as usual! I can't get over how pretty the colours are here ^^ Just wondering though, what do you use the grids at 4:21 for? Is it to check composition? Is there some rule you follow or do you just eye the whole thing and see whether it looks "right"?

AWWW THANK YOU FRIEND *V* the grid was to draw straight vertical lines actually! it locks the stroke on the y-axis and that way i could make sure the streams of flowers weren't crooked xD i wish... i had some hard and fast rule for checking composition. i do pretty much eye the whole thing and pray it works out lmao

the flat brush is from medibang cloud database thing~ (you click on that cloud with the arrow at the bottom left of the brushes list and there should be a heap of brushes, including the flat one, that you can download ^o^)
