It's quite crude, yes. But it's just to get a general sense of the patient's hearing. It will also be followed up by some more refined methods. Heck, it might be done prior to audiometry.

It ha it’s place you doughnut. For example if a primary care Dr performed this test he/she knows that there is a 90-100 sensitivity and 70-87 specificity that would prompt a referral to audiology. You need to chill out
