There are about half a dozen Band songs which, when I hear them, I go, "yeah, that's my favorite." This is one...one of the most gorgeous melodies ever, combined with that beautifully sad vocal. Still stuns me to this day how effortlessly Richard weaves between falsetto and tenor. I sing in a band and cite Richard Manuel as a main influence...not that I'm anywhere near that good. :-) What an amazing array of talent and chemistry. RIP Richard, Rick, Levon.
