That's something that I've found pretty hard to get over as well. You're not alone!! lol. So here's what you can do, give some time before the whistle to take a breath, (but not too big cause you'll choke) and then try the whistle. It's hard to hit it spot on right after singing. That's why some singers pause even for a millisecond and let the background singers sing so they can prepare for the cherry note.

Try to warm up before singing whistles, so it doesn't feel restricted when trying to hit those upper notes.

While those exercises are great to help hitting whistles notes with a neutral larynx, to sing them beautifully and correctly a strong head voice is essential.

Lutfian Hadiarso my vocal teacher says that it is because you don't have air/support, so your larynx raises to compensate so maybe it is outta your range so the only way you can hit it is like that, so don't just skip to high notes, sing your highest note WITHOUT your larynx raised, then improve from there :)

So here's the thing, I did what you said with the piano and I hit them all up to A6 quite easily, but the thing is I don't know if what I'm doing is a whistle or a scream. E6 is about as high as I can get reliably XD Sometimes I can hit F6 but usually only if I am very relaxed and don't feel pressure to hit it (like when I have been singing in my lower registers for a while just messing around). Thanks for the video!

To do buzz rolls : Take a deep breath in , Close ur mouth lightly , and then exhale while ur mouth is closed , and hopefully you did a buzz roll

Maybe, learn to control your riffs and runs first. Then get a sense of controlling it in the lower and middle register. When your body gets used to it, just apply that same control for your runs into your whistle register. Hope this helped!

1. Yes it is definitely possible. But it only counts if you are doing it properly, without manipulating your throat just to squeeze some high notes. Everyone has different ranges so it depends on that too. 2. I would consider it haha 3. Usually it comes out stronger that way. But if you wait too long, it will be harder to get back on the wagon. giannis konstantinou you can still sing whistle notes without knowing how to buzz roll, you would just have to experiment with your voice safely. I used buzz rolls in this video because it's easy to transition that way 😊 I hope this helped!

I'm a Countertenor and I sing in the Mezzo-Soprano/Soprano Range. My Highest Note is D6. One time I only hit a F6! Be great to be able to whistle tone notes. Instead of whistling with my lips close lol 😅
