@@mencot89 Yup! Most people get it in their head to squeeze because of how high the notes are. The moment you get tense, the notes wont come out right or even at all

@@GetWellSoonR.E.M. very true. I struggle with it all the time! Sometimes I wonder if I should just accept my singing will always be squeezed lol in a way it has a featured sound to it. But at the same time it halted further increase in notes and just singing technique. I find that singing early in the morning sounded non/less squeeze for me. Welp this is a long reply 😂

@@mencot89 that's because of how relaxed we are in the morning haha. I have the same issue, but it really takes learning vocal warm ups and exercises that help the muscles in your neck and face relax enough so the sound isn't tense. Warming up properly REALLY helps

OMG this is facts! 3:01 When I finally got to sing high notes, like Ariana Grande high notes, I was so obsessed and kept singing different songs because I was scared it would go away after that day. My throat began to hurt and I couldn’t sing for more than a week. When I went to the doctor and got better I was scared to sing because I was like “yeah I can’t reach it anymore”, but lo and behold those high notes where still there! 😭 I just found your channel but after hearing that part I’m subscribing ASAP cause you speaking facts!! ❤️

This is really helping! My teacher put me in alto instead of soprano because we had too many so I haven't had to reach the high high range of my voice lately. I was surprised at the notes I could hit when I actually tried. I forgot how good my range was. The warm up are slowly helping me unlock my voice full potential, thank you!

Well , I think it just takes practice when I first started playing around with my head voice/ falsetto I actually hit a whistle note ( it was a D6 a believe ) . My parents had friends over and I guess It just came out and umm they all looked at me and asked me what I just did , then I explained to them . They didn’t understand till I whistled normally like you do with your lips then I showed them how I do the whistle note . I honestly don’t know how in the world I had the confidence to do that but they just looked at me and said 😎 cool ! I guess we worry too much about what others might think even if they do make fun of you it shouldn’t matter !

You should start trying to speak lower in more of a kind of in fry register so then it doesn’t strain your voice as much and it makes you more agile when you start singing. See how Mariah and Whitney talk when they’re not singing, it’s at the bottom of their ranges. xx forgot to say you’re amazing! Love your videos!

WOW! I REALLY DIDN’T THINK THIS WOULD WORK SO WELL, BUT I JUST DID MY FIRST REAL WHISTLE NOTE!!!! The tip that REALLY helped me was the part about tensing your stomach and not your throat! This whole time, I was tensing my throat to try to force a note out (I did make sure it wasn’t hurting though), but keeping my throat as relaxed as I could while still being able to control my notes was the key 😭😭😭😭 Thank you so much!!!

My advice is to imitate people who can do it as if you could too, also, I think you have to take your tongue to the front of your mouth and has to sticks out a little bit, or at least to have enough space in your mouth, but the most important thing is air control, is necessary to learn how to balance it with the voice

@@anngelllll Be careful not to squeeze, the whistle voice is like an exhalation through a small gap between the vocal cords, what I mean is it feels like a falsetto where there is little compression, the vocal cords are quite stretched and the air is flowing constantly. Don't try to force it until it comes out or spend too much time trying too hard or you'll end up hurting yourself, good luck!

Last year i used to sing in whistle register and i tried it 1 week ago to sing in whistle note or falsetto and it sounds just liie air its ridiculous 🤣 so I came on your channel to do exercises to bring it back like you did 2 years ago but no change I think my voice is just gone and will never come back 🤣😭

Thankyou so much , I've reached Wistle regester but it's to airy I'm gonna try my best to control it , guys the bzzzzbuzzzz really helps thankyou so much you are great , you can actually be a vocal coach muah love lots. I reached Wistle regester for just 3 days but it disappeared for another 3 days , so I rested, then at the last day of that week I tried it again and boom , it came out shes right you have to build up those muscles first and keep practicing , now I can do short Wistle approximately 6 sec . And I can do switches to, your great I'll keep learning from you thankyou plss don't stop sharing with us .

Does anyone have advice when you sing whistle but there’s always a break after or before sometimes.. how can I fix that?

Do you mean like uhm that you try to do a whistle and there's a pause where just air passes through and not sound? Or a pause where not even air passes and it's just silent? For the first option i think it's because you're putting too much pressure on your vocal cords and your throat, so just air passes and the throat is soo squeezed that can't correctly emit the note, so if this is your case try to be less tense and to push from your diaphragm, not your throat If it's the second case, I think you should breathe in more air, again without tensing up, and use your diaphragm to "expel" the whistle note, balancing air and tone and squeezing the throat just a little bit enough to do a whistle Idk i could be wrong, try and see if it fixes the problem, I just tried to give advice based on my experience

This is my aunt's acc,but Im a boy,since childhood,instead of screaming with my chest voice,I use my whistle voice,so my chest voice is a lil weaker than my whistle voice,but im happy tho
