I'm SO JEALOUS! I was there in July and all the trails were super dry and blown-out!! All the breaking bumps were still there it looks like, but at least you had tacky-goodness. And the last two years I've been there 2016 and 2017, the shipping container jump was closed.
@Whitesnake26 жыл бұрын
indeed they were at that time. It was bone dry. This video is from summer 2016 and I caught it when the container was open. Check out this edit from Sept 2017 - Conditions were excellent: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqW8YayBZ9BlfLc Freight Train is such a great trail man. One of my favourites!

Really Dig your videos for many reasons. First, because you show the tracks as they are without any unnecessary stops (props for your fitness) or shortcuts and the way they supposed to be ridden. Second you give riders a nearly complete view of the available trails with great ridden descriptions. Third for the nice labeling of the tracks, with the icons and the little jingles (does each trail has its own jingle?). Forth for the video quality and the capture setup. Fifth for your absolute clean riding style. Keep it up! BTW you got yourself a new bike? never saw the demo in a vid so far. I also loved this combo of trails, freight train, una moss, 7 years of war, drop in clinic, there you got one of the longest combos in the upper zone. You should make a vid of ride don't slide + BC Trail, that is also a beautiful but exhausting combo. Or maybe tresspasser ;-)
@Whitesnake28 жыл бұрын
really appreciate the feedback! Yes each trail has its own jingle! lol too funny eh? I try not to stop to much if I am recording for that reason as well (but it does get bloody tiring on the longer trails!). It is a new bike and it is sooo good. Absolutely love that bike. Its way beyond my skill level, but hey you only live once right? When I rode Freight train for this edit I didn't really know about the 7 Year War trail yet, otherwise I'd have hit that one in size! I love that trail and it sure beats the fire road. I rode BC trail once on my trip - it blew me away and I set out to do more of it (and that side of the mountain) but the weather didn't cooperate as it became a muddy mess in there and A-line was just too good to pass up for that. I can't wait to try Ride Don't Slide too, but Top of the World still hadn't opened so I didn't get to hit that one either. Tresspasser? Oh man I think that one is way above my pay grade at this point. I'm hoping to get back in Sept to Whistler, so I'll be hitting everything I missed and more if conditions allow!

try adding more rebound dampening. so the shock come up slower after its compressed. if the rebound is to fast it'll pop ya into a nose dive.
@endurotruckererniedesjardins8 жыл бұрын
other thing is how you preload your bike into the face of a jump. even in motocross I tend to give a Lil almost shove downward in the approach of the ramp . practice daily man. dirt jumping and horsing around learning a new skill everyday is the only real way to progress quickly. as for me 33 years or motocross and BMX from 78 to 90 and mountain biking from 86 till today. I'm old but I still have no trouble riding like I'm 20

soo what does the shapes mean after the trails name? is it like a difficult kind a thing?
@Whitesnake28 жыл бұрын
Yes, similar to skiing and its trail ratings: green, blue, black diamond and double black diamond in increasing order of difficulty (at least in Canada). In other countries this may vary. Whistler also denotes 'flow trails' and 'tech trails' in its ratings scheme. Flow trails have a yellowish oval(ish) shape around the trail rating, whereas Tech trails do not.
@RadHABBITfpv8 жыл бұрын
Hmm interresting. ive never been skiing and thanks to your videos and some other youtubers videos ive resently started gettin into mountain biking.
