@Batman6870 It's the GLC Drop at the bottom of the park (called that because it's next to the Garibaldi Lift Co.) and as 999AssassinShadow said, yeah you can avoid it. Heaps of trails merge/finish just above there.

That's 'Dirt Merchant', 'Smoke & Mirror's and a couple of other trails at the Whistler Bike Park. You're better off with a fullsuspension bike, and you can easily rent a DH bike on site if you don't have one... but some of the very skilled locals can be spotted on hardtails on some of the smoother trails :-) Generally, the trails are VERY well maintained - and if you're looking for a more adventurous ride you can always helibike on the deserted Mt. Rainbow next door :-)

nah i rode dirt merchant,a line, freight train, crank it up, devils climb, blue velvet b line and a few more on a hardtail no problem i live like a 10 hour drive from it too

A. this is a mid size coarse so probubly would be 13 and old. B. extreme ride would be courses with verticals of over a constant 60 degrees

weeeellll the bikes these people ride are full suspenson. ranging from 1100 dollars to 5100 dollars . a hard tail can go from 800 for a crap one to 1500 dollars! i ride a specilized p2 i paid 1100 dollars and loving every minute of it. i hope this helped!
