I'm working my way back through video's and I have to say your looks, everyone of them is a 10+ out of 10. All the video's I have seen on this palette looked beautiful but your artistic touch elevates yours to a extra special work of art. If I had to rank them it would be impossible. These looks are so beautiful, Leorah! You definitely did this gorgeous colorstory justice! 😊👍 Your video was the first to pop-up in my subscription feed today, & I don’t think it was by accident. (Like the NCIS character on TV, Jethro Leroy Gibbs, I don’t believe in coincidence.) I know you & I have discussed before about the shared trait of perfectionism, & I’m convinced that the desire & need for structure (which includes rules/boundaries/discipline) is a part of that trait. And people-pleasing (including pleasing oneself by meeting certain standards) plays a role too. One of the biggest lessons I’m still learning is how to let go of some of the perfectionistic mindset to where there is balance. Perfectionism is a catch 22, as it can be a catalyst for spurring one to achieve lots of great things, but it can also be unhealthy when one sets unrealistic expectations for oneself that can’t be met (raising my hand here ✋🏻) . When circumstances in life crowd the ability to meet the expectations, then even the things we enjoy doing can become burdensome & overwhelming. In my particular case lately, it has been my chronic spinal issues worsening again (it’s constant degeneration exacerbated by two previous surgeries), & so it has once again slowed me down. Last week, I couldn’t get out of bed for four days because I couldn’t stand up due to pain & leg weakness. Talk about frustration! And this was in the middle of a decluttering/organization project of our bedroom closet, so I’ve had to slow down & attempt doing in tiny segments since there’s nobody to which I can delegate. (My husband hasn’t a clue about my stuff.) Please know that you’re not alone, you’re not crazy (just extraordinarily-driven without a needed “stop” button sometimes), & very funny & giggly when you’re overtired! 😁 (Me too, unless I’m to the whiny-stage before collapsing.) 😅 Don’t feel bad about giving yourself some grace! @@LeorahHallelGoldberg what really drew me to your channel (after the bright colours obviously) was sharing about your eating disorder. It’s none of my business at all but I’m in recovery from a different eating disorder and I’m learning about all the ways we get sucked into disordered thinking/eating. Your story times really resonate with me. I am in a bigger body and learning to accept that for myself and that my body will naturally change as I learn to trust my body to decide when I eat and what I eat. We’re born with the innate trust in ourselves to eat what our bodies need… as we grow up we learn to not trust ourselves. It’s a process and different everyday but I’m learning to be brave as I’m not the only one out there struggling. Everytime you speak your truth you make another feel less alone in this beautifully crazy world. Sorry I talk too much 🙈😂

I feel this topic deep in my core!! Cause im the exact same way🙈 Sadly i only have me, myself and i, so i dont have anyone to delegate anything too😅 So that just leaves me having to postpone and have breaks. Which just leaves me more behind, and frustrated with my none growing growth😪🙈 And somehow i have to just accept that, to be able to heal my anxiety and stress. The only nomad palette I have is the one they had to discontinue due to race appropriation. I see raving reviews on their recent palettes but I didn't love the one I have and there hasn't been a color story for me I think hahaha

Shalom,I have been thinking about you much,I am overwhelmed with life,with the never ending Pandemic. Right when you think thing's are getting better, slam we get hit again. The only thing that is keeping myself half sane is my Faith, and I admire your Faith. God may be teaching you lessons, I know God is doing this with me. I have always been independent and prided myself that I could do it all. But now I am learning, no,I can't. I haven't touched makeup in a while. Let God be your strength and your joy. Many Holy Scripture talks about People trying to do everything, God would show them,no you need Him and other's. I admire you. And it's alright to admit you are exhausted, many people. Just make this your fun time,your self care time. It's crazy all over the world right now. May God bless you and your family. I felt everything you said. This pandemic has been wearing me down too. But on the other side, I have learned I don’t have to be go go go all the time and that my happiness matters and if I’m not happy then I’m only only one that can change that. P.S. I love all the looks so far you did with this palette and I can’t wait for it to launch. I love skiing, I used to be an avid skier and Whistler was a destination I wish I had been to.
