So my husband and I lived in an RV for 4 years and traveled all over USA and Canada and let me tell you… whistlers outdoor activities are known as the Whistler Bubble as their beginner ski hills, mountain bike trails, and river kayaking are all NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY.. lol! It’s a well known joke in the outdoor community. Never been more scared in any of my outdoor pursuits there. Hahaha! 😱😆 But such a beautiful place and the partying is fun 😜

I am half italian, half Austrian. we would spend the Christmas holidays at my grandma's in the Tyrolean alps most years and... Amazing slopes, amazing weather, my 5ft 10 mom looking like a winter olympian...and then me. I had a very loud Skisuit (the 90's, you know) and I looked like a very colourful Michelin man rolling down the hill. You have my admiration girl, you were way more gracious and braver than I ever was! You got potential!!!

Omg thank you so much for your honesty and transparency about not being good at skiing and being terrified. It’s refreshing to see KZbinrs aren’t just good at everything! Come to Utah US and go to Snowbird Ski resort or Deer Valley resorts! They have the best beginner slopes and a huge variety too! The Cliff Lodge has an amazing fancy restaurant called The Aerie!

Love seeing you travel! I have never been on skis, but growing up all over New England/USA made me familiar with all things endless snow/ice/and cold! So beautiful there at Whistler, so glad you can resume travel and see friends. I miss seeing Merrell (sp?) and hearing her little voice :). The footage of the Scandinave Spa brought me back.. my mom and I traveled to Vancouver in 2018 and took a day trip to Whistler after she broke her arm on the second day of the trip. 😆The spa was recommended to us as a good way for her to relax and soak her arm. It was lovely, I don’t remember the “silence” people haha. We loved Whistler!! I would love to go back and ski someday!

oh my gosh i totally relate to the skiing 🙈 in 7th grade we went on a school ski trip and I got pretty comfortable on the bunny hill so I went to try a green square and I think we ended up going down a harder hill instead and I was absolutely SCARRED. I got to the bottom, took off my skis immediately and marched into the chalet half crying half hyperventilating. I'm almost 28 now and I think I would try it again, but probably only the bunny hill 😂😅

Alana, CONGRATULATIONS on Picante selling out first and so damn fast today on Ulta’s site!!!!!!!!! I literally didn’t wake up in time to snag it only Bubbly Bebe! But not to worry, I love Picante so much that I called my Ulta and made sure they had it in stock and grabbed it there! Had to pay full price for it but SO WORTH it! The sales associate asked me what was so special about it and I had it on and so did my son’s girlfriend. I am fair, she is tan as she is biracial. Picante looks awesome on both of us and the sales associate (who had my son’s girlfriend’s skin tone said “No way, I am getting one on my break then!” My mom’s physical therapist was at her house when we got back and she is light/medium and she headed to Ulta when she left to get one! I am your IL USA ambassador 😂😂😂😂 You did so well creating that shade! Edit: I have been on skis once!!! I went to college in Los Angeles and a bunch of my friends took me after the first good mountain snow (they were native LA peoples and I am a flat lander from IL) I had waterskied many times so my idiot self said “how different could they be?” Yeah, I slid down that mountain mostly ion my booty while 4 year olds we wizzing by yelling “You ok lady??” Made it to the bottom, skis off and it was then I realized… I am definitely an apres ski kinda gal!

I went skiing last year for the first time in probably…. 20years. And I choose to believe it was like riding a bike, and skipped the bunny hill. Not my wisest decision but I lived to tell the tale! Ha! Only because I used to competitively ski did I believe so highly of my (old) skills! You looked like a beginner should, slow and steady!

Don't mean to laugh at your experience but I literally laughed out loud! I tried snowboarding once and towards the end of the day I actually became afraid to go down the mountain because I had fallen so many times. I was in pain lol. I haven't done it since.

At Whistler (maybe it was Austria I can’t remember for sure lol) I took a wrong turn and ended up on what was literally a sheer vertical drop of friggin ice. With no way down but to ski down it and way too step to try and take off the skis and walk down. Had no choice but to go as slow as possible and hope I didn’t slide straight down. So scary. And I can ski lol. So I sympathize with your fear.

How do people prevent hair getting into matted tangles with the texture sprays?? Idk if it’s just because I have really long hair and I have many strands of medium thick hair and everytime I use a salt spray or texture spray by the end of the night my hair is so tangled I feel like brushing it out causes so much breaking :( but your hair always looks sooo goood!!
