I 100% agree with Cody. As a former FedEx driver, we always appreciated the package containers marked with stickers for FedEx, UPS, Amazon, and USPS at the end of long driveways. Our goal was to get our packages delivered and go home, and the last thing we wanted was to have to crawl at a snail's pace (so property owners wouldn't complain) down a very long driveway. That time adds up when you have several long driveways on your route. Also, as a former USPS driver, the USPS does not have to deliver a package if your driveway is longer than a quarter mile one way. (Half mile total.) Simple rule we were all taught as children. Don't take something that isn't yours, including containers labeled with major delivery company stickers. Common sense ain't that common these days.

Used to drive an amazon van in very sparse, rural areas. Areas where driveways literally took five minutes to drive up. Places with gates. Places you worried about trespassing. Mountains and farms. Big package boxes or barrels at the end of the driveway or down on the road are SUPER common, and they're a convenience for everyone. The delivery driver gets to just dump and dip, and the landowner gets to not have all sorts of dipshit delivery drivers trying to come in their gate. The very first time I saw a big ass plastic box at the end of a driveway by the mailbox I IMMEDIATELY knew what it was. It's common.

I would like to say a couple things as someone who was a WD fan since before he destroyed anything. First, I live in a town full of good people and no matter what you put at the end of the driveway nobody will touch it unless you put a “free” sign on it so anyone arguing otherwise is just an ass. And second Cody has always been relatable and the money didn’t change it. He’s still obviously a good dude with strong ideals. Not really. All of the top voted comments on the original are thousands of likes deep with people saying reasonable stuff. It's pretty well known stuff left at the edge of a driveway isn't wanted. I think people like you are just choosing Cody's side.

In rural areas, the state of some secondary roads can be so poor that certain UPS drivers may decline to attempt delivery. As a result, recipients may need to take the initiative to locate their packages. This is exactly why my family had a delivery box at the end of the road. It was there for years and then one day it was gone. Its so frustrating becauss it was clearly our mail box.

Just build a fully furnished house at the start of your driveway to be a decoy house for packages to be delivered to. Have two parked cars in the driveway and a 24/7 guard on the front porch posing as the residence. Only logical fix to this problem..
