When I worked for the Cat dealer I changed out several of those 3208 engines on White 4 wheel drives, always enjoyed working on them they are low to the ground and much easier to access than a Stieger Bearcat!

Those are really two beautiful tractors. I remember seeing the adds for those back in the seventies in the farm magazines and I thought then that those were the most beautiful tractors ever made. I am so glad that you were able to get that 4-150 and save it.

As the weather gets colder, always seems to be more of a challenge dealing with starting issues. You'll have a good pair of horses when the details are all ironed out.

I understand your use of those battery cut-off switch, I had to do my first one with my White American 80, until I had the wiring harness replaced. I took the cut-off switch off the White and put it on my Massey Ferguson 65 where it currently resides. My youngest son probably should put one on his MF 285, I think his alternator is the culprit there and my oldest son has three that currently has at least one with the cut-off. They work great and solve a lot of jumping and recharging issues. I enjoyed, as always, your video, I hope you have an awesome day and week ahead!

Wish I had a 4-150 but I'll probably have to settle for the toy 4-175 I have

Yea, was going to say, once they're drained to a "dead" status, batteries are pretty much toast, shame too, those are brand new batteries. Cheers :)

It would be very interesting to put a volt meter across the terminals of your cut-off switch with the switch turned off. Things like your Super Cheap Super Duty will have a voltage draw that is the computer staying alive and remembering its learned memory. An even more interesting test would be if you get a voltage reading across the terminals would be to put your milli-amp function on your test meter and read the milli-amp draw. On my old Chevy winch truck it was 1/2 amp. I could have spent a lot of time going through and pulling fuses for different circuits in an attempt to find an offending draw. My answer was to put a battery maintainer on it and keep it plugged in as it might sit for 3 months without use. Now it will start and go everytime I need it. I do need to put 5 gallons of stabilized gas in it and run it around the gravel roads to warm it up and sling oil around in all of the gear boxes. My dog will be sitting straight up in the bucket seat on the right side so she can spot deer and let them know to get out of the way.

Hay write your self a note for your shirt pocket, to turn off the main switch, ok, Ross, BigAl California thanks
@christinamoneyhan56888 күн бұрын
Ross, if the main battery switch was off it could not possibly drain the batteries unless the main battery switch is leaking voltage to ground.

Just saw a 4-150 sell in our area. I'm suspicious it went for parts because it wasn't running and the pto was ripped out of it and sold separately. They said it went to Ohio and I saw it headed that way on a truck
