This anime did a really great job for reaching to the audience as well as it did and affecting them in such a way where we all have different opinions on how we feel about it. It really is amazing how a "I love you" can be the difference from you being happy with someone or someone feeling so damaged and hateful of themselves because they couldn't collect the courage to get to you first. Personally after watching this it has made me think is love this amazing emotion where we receive a happy ending or is it just a curse we cant reject. I think this teaches us an important lesson about how the world isn't some perfect bed time story where the guy gets the girl but that sometimes we WILL lose that one person and that they will get out of arms reach before we can react and that instead we should work hard and not be afraid to express ourselves and go after the person you love because maybe one day they'll be one plane ride away and you'll really lose them forever

Ok what everyone seems to forget, Setsuna never had any real friends. Right when she finally had them, everything started to fall apart. Towards the ending of this series, she could best be described as trying to carry water in a bucket full of holes. Everything she tries to do to keep the three together only makes things worse and splits them farther apart. Setsuna is probably one of the more tragic characters I've ever seen in an anime.

idk why people hating setsuna so much, she just wanted friends, she found some and worried that if haruki and touma came together, they would leave her. Yes this is selfish. Yes this is wrong, but she followed her heart since she loved haruki just as much. Touma stayed quiet about it, basically allowing setsuna to take the lead. While haruki is just an indecisive prick. In the end, everyone lost. I felt really bad for setsuna, since she loved haruki so much that even though she knew that his heart truly lied with touma, she would still love him

well i am with setsuna cause i read the light novel all endings...and all i saw was setsuna do everything and almost ruin her own life for haruki and truly loves him...touma on the other hand always leave them and run away cause she is too much of a prick and sleep with haruki when he is already with ogiso and then leave again...w/e setsuna did she deserve this love more cause she never surrender...and its ridiculous to say touma and haruki had story,they just played duo music without even speak once in different room setsuna brought them together too.. :p my opinion thought

Honestly I think they would have been better off ending after the kazuki confessed to touma and left it as an open ending for the viewer to fill in. Instead we get a travesty of an ending with cheating, touma leaving after she and kazuki basically announce their feelings in front of setsuna and setsuna pulling a yandere and sticking by kazuki when he doesn't feel the same way about her and she deserves so much better than this indecisive prick. Personally I think kazuki deserves all the heat and setsuna was the most likable. Tho I was on team touma all the way setsuna was the only one who was true to her feelings and acted on it. Touma waited until it was too late and kazuki made the biggest mistake of sleeping with touma WHILE HE HAD A GF. He deserves no sympathy for that.

[Warning!! Spoilers!! Don't read if you haven't seen the series yet!!] In my opinion, the ending was sad indeed, but it made the series ending more dramatic and realistic. And you know, the ending is still open. We don't know if Kazusa will ever come back, but it is heavily implied that the bond between those two (or three) - even if it's fucked up - is strong. As it seemed, they'll love each other until the end. So I believe that Kazusa will return to Haruki in the future. Or he'll come to be with her. Their love is that strong. But we have to understand, that Kazusa wants to make up with her mother. After that hateful three years, she wants to be with her, and make her proud. She wants to do something with her life the first time. I believe she was more happy than sad in the end; they managed to clear things, and she could express herself properly before Setsuna with Haruki, even if it was sad. She couldn't just throw away that chance to learn in Europe. That's why she's gone. She loves Haruki, and she knows that he'll wait for her. I'm sure she'll come back to him. I'm sure. And if you ask me, I don't blame Haruki. I blame the complication of human feelings. I know what he is/was feeling, because I experienced this whole thing too. That's why I don't want to love anyone for a while now. I know you think that this was a sad ending. I agree. I wanted to see a nice, good ending too. But this is enough too, I guess. :)

I mean I just feel bad for Setsuna. In the end, I felt that her true route is the only true route after the things what happened. Personally, I don't hate Kazusa, but it's almost like that. But the way they did things... well, let's say that this series is close to me because this whole thing happened to me in real life. It is very sad, I could feel all of their pains. Of course. But I love the realism in it. Haruki isn't some "Kirito" that gets the girl, then doesn't cheat on her with anyone and is always loyal, meanwhile twenty other girls want his love. He isn't special in any way, other than the typical "Protagonist's Will to Never Give Up". He makes mistakes, and he's human.

For those people out there who want to know more about White Album2. The anime was actually the introduction chapter of the Visual Novel game, there are 3 chapters: Introduction, Closing, and Coda. If u have finish the anime go ahead download the Closing chapter, for those who already finished Closing chapter... Well keep waiting for the English sup of the Coda version mate. Am I the only who wanted him to be with Setsuna? It's kind of Touma's fault for not being honest. Setsuna liked him, and so she told him. Everyone always make her sound like a bitch. I personally wanted Setsuna with him. He even did it with Touma when he didn't break up with Setsuna yet, what an asshole. I think Setsuna deserves better than that. Hmm. I shipped him with Touma. To me, it felt like Setsuna intervened between them from the start. But at the same time, Touma and Haruki would have never gotten together had it not been for Setsuna, too. So Setsuna should have brought them together but not have gone for Haruki. Why? She said it best herself. Something along the lines of "I said I liked Haruki, but I liked Touma more." In the end, due to her decision, she ends up losing them both. Of course, every character in this show is purposely flawed(which is why this show is good). Had they not been, there wouldn't have been conflict in the first place.

Actually the anime is based on the first visual novel of a series. And in that visual novel (Introductory Chapter) this is the only ending. There are no choices in the first part of the story. But you're right in that it encourages people to get the game in order to continue the story (Concluding Chapter and CODA)

The title should be ‘ A love that has not been noticed ‘ . I think those who want to know the ending should play the WA2 PC game, it gives the whole story. One will find meaningless to argue about ‘Haruki ought to choose who’ after one knows the whole story and how much they did for each other . In fact, Maruto san the scriptwriter of WA2 do love Setsuna more than Touma (this is his own word) , he wrote after story of both end. Setsuna end appears to be more favorable to those who finished the whole game because the relationships between the characters in the story , three of them and their friends are good as before.Moreover Touma overcome the sadness of being apart and become a world famous pianist. When come to Touma end Haruki is cut off from all his friends and effected Setsuna’s family largely. The story is undoubtedly good , and I was deeply moved by it. Who gets together with Haruki really doesn’t matter (I personally think) just enjoy it , the fun and happiness , and the beauty of sadness of WA.
