I am really lucky to have found this now. I still feel like this was the proper and logical ending to this romance story. It becomes even set in stone with this episode when the main characters were forgiven. Also gives the possibility for the couple to return to Japan which was something I was a little unsure about. i dont fully understand what you mean but i'll explain to you anyway. Basically there are multiple endings that lead to a certain outcome. I'll start with the closing chapter first: In this route there are 4 main heroines if I remember correctly: Mari, Chiaki, Koharu and Setsuna. The first 3 are basically Haruki's romantic relationship in university, 3 years after the introductory chapter. They are trivial to the main story line but you need to complete each routes to unlock Setsuna's route, I'll still recommend you to watch each routes tho, they are quite good. The last chapter is Coda, which is the conclusion to what's left from the introductory chapter, this part is set 2 years after closing chapter and as you may have guessed, it covers the relationship between Haruki, Setsuna and Kazusa. There are 3 endings which are Kazusa Normal, Setsuna True and Kazusa True. There are no specific chronological order but i highly recommend you to read Kazusa Normal first and then Setsuna True, and finally Kazusa True, it's a roller coaster of emotion. I made the mistake of reading the Kazusa True first and regret it immediately. There are 3 mini after story VN, they are: -To You, My Sworn Enemy, which is set after the events of Kazusa Normal ending -The Way Towards Happiness, which is the after story of the Setsuna True ending -And then finally this, The Way Back To Happiness, the after story of Kazusa True ending. You can find the more detailed recommended playing order on r/visualnovels, just type white album 2 and you should see it after sometime scrolling, it includes all the chapter, mini after story, endings, sound novel etc. Have an enjoyable experience, this is the best Romance/Pure Drama VN of all time imo and i'd love discuss everything about this masterpiece.

I saw some comments on an anime site mentioning different routes, and I heard that the mc ends up with Touma which makes me very happy. However, I got depressed when I heard that Setsuna was sending them a video where she was playing the guitar of the mc which got me depressed asf(that guitar playing part is true? Pls no) Then I discovered there's a route where Setsuna ends up with the MC, which makes me very happy also, but I don't like Kazusa ending up with someone else either(I want Kazusa with the mc too, I saw their clingy-clingy wife and husband relationship with the mc which got me hype asf and happy too but idk what was that) So, I want to know the routes of each of these girls from beginning to end and what the chronological canon is for each of these girl's routes since I got confused by this youtube playlist and I think something got mixed up

@@goji434 Hahaha I feel you, I was distraught for a couple of weeks after first watching the anime, read the visual novel and later read/listened to the light novels, manga and cd dramas. I'll try to organize a chronological picture of the main events in Kazusa's route (which is my favorite as well): As you know there a 3 main chapters in the story from the visual novel: 1. Introductory Chapter: Starts on 15 Oct 2007. This is pretty much the same events that we watched on the anime ending with the famous airport scene and Kazusa's departure. There's only one single route on this chapter. - You can also check out both CD Dramas: "Before the Festival ~Twenty Four Hours Together~" and "The Day of the Festival ~Stories Beneath the Stage~" which expands these events with different perspectives and events not seen before in neither the anime or the visual novel. - Short story "The Ordeals of Princess Setsuna - White Album 2 Bonus Story": Bonus story that details her year before she joined the light music club and met Haruki. - Short novel called "The Snow Melts, and Until It Falls Again..." which narrates the events from Kazusa's childhood and how she met and fell in love with Haruki in school. - Short novel "His God, Her Savior": It details the thoughts of Kazusa and Setsuna during the very beginning of the two joining the light music club. This one is heavily focused on jealousy of the other girl, and the inability to see one's own positive traits. -Short story "Todonakai Koi Bonus Story - Love That Could Not Reach Has Reached": This bonus story details the writing of Todokanai Koi, and reads from the three characters' perspectives: Haruki, Kazusa, and Setsuna. - Short novel "After the Festival ~Setsuna’s Thirty Minutes~": A very cute (and sad, of course) side-story which follows the moments directly after the school festival, where Kazusa and Setsuna each approach a sleeping Haruki. - Short Novel: "The Idol Who Forgot How To Sing": This one takes place between IC (Introductory Chapter) and CC (Closing Chapter), and focuses on Setsuna's struggles in university while being separated from Haruki. - Also, there's a "What If" novel set in an alternate timeline that retells the events that we saw on the both in the anime and the visual novel, but with the big change that this time Haruki starts a relationship with Kazusa and then cheats on her with Setsuna (the roles are inverted, there's no escape for the love-triangle lol). The novel is called "Twinkle Snow ~Dream~" - There's the Light Novel "White Album 2: Yuki ga Tsumugu Senritsu", which consists of 6 volumes. - The manga which consist of 4 volumes. 2. Closing Chapter: Starts on 24 Dec 2010. This is the college's chapter in the life of Haruki. 3 years have passed since Kazusa left Japan to live in Austria. Haruki and Setsuna are college students and "officially" in a relationship, but in reality both are emotionally distant due to trauma and guilt since Introductory Chapter. Here is where the diverging routes start (each route happens in parallel timelines at the same time): In one timeline Haruki can choose to get over his feelings for Kazusa and repair his relationship with Setsuna (which is considered the canon route for this Chapter since you can only unlock the last Chapter with this route). Or Haruki can choose to get over his depression and pursue a new relationship with either of the new heroines that he meets on this point: Koharu, his colleague at his part-time work at a Restaurant; Chiaki, his classmate at the University; or Mari, his boss at a magazine company. Kazusa only appears at the very end of the Chapter only in Setsuna's route in France on 24 Dec 2012, meeting Haruki by chance (That scene is the GOAT btw). But there are also two CD Dramas with stories located chronologically on this chapter: The first is called: "One Night's Triumphant Return", which happens on December 2012, where Kazusa returns briefly to Japan. The other is "Reunion and Redemption During New Year", which is a "what if" scenario, that happens on the New Year's Eve of 2012 where Haruki and Kazusa met each other by chance after Youko's Concert in Japan (this doesn't happen in the Canon route). -There's also a short story called "White Album 2 Koharu After Story - Sun After Storm", which is the epilogue for Koharu's route. 3. CODA Chapter: Ok, here comes the REAL drama. This is where you can get either of 3 endings: two different routes and endings with Kazusa: The Normal and True Endings; and one with Setsuna (Setsuna's True Ending). I'll describe both Kazusa's endings. NORMAL KAZUSA ENDING Starts on 7 Dec 2012 where last ended the previous chapter with Kazusa's and Haruki reunion on France. ↓ Haruki cheats on Setsuna with Kazusa repeatedly. At the end of this route (Feb 2013), Haruki and Kazusa eloped and spend many days on the same resort that they visited in their student days, making love and professing eternal love for each other. Only for Kazusa to unilaterally end their relationship because she doesn't want to destroy Haruki's life with their affair, and abandons Haruki to return to Europe on the next days. (This route is pure unadulted pain, not for the faint of heart. Haruki falls in deep depression) ↓ Extra Episode ("To My Sworn Enemy Ending"): Which functions as an Epilogue for this route: A couple of years have passed. Setsuna, as a friend, has been taking care of the depressed Haruki to slowly overcome his trauma over his guilt for cheating on her and Kazusa's final departure. Haruki is slowly getting back on his feet and the episode ends with they sharing a stroll on the streets where they happen to see a street advertisement panel for Kazusa's upcoming Concert on Japan, after becoming a world-class pianist. TRUE KAZUSA ENDING Starts on 7 Dec 2012, France, when Kazusa's and Haruki met each other again after years. ↓ Haruki and Kazusa declare their love to their friends (and they hate them for it), Haruki cancels his engagement to Setsuna. Both later escaped to Vienna on 23 Mar 2013. ↓ They legally married at least one year before game ended (probably soon after arriving Austria) ↓ Game ended in early 2015 (when they received email from Kazusa's mother about Setsuna and her video playing Haruki's guitar) ↓ Kazusa's mother (and probably also with Setsuna et al) came to Vienna in mid 2015 and they were forgiven ↓ Haruki and Kazusa left Vienna to Narita on 24 Dec 2015 for the wedding ceremony (AS in the Novel "It’s Not White Album Season Any More") ↓ Haruki and Kazusa arrived Japan on 25 Dec 2015, wedding ceremony in Japan on 31 Dec (Mini After Story, which is this video) ↓ Haruki and Kazusa's CD Drama "The New Year's Eve of 2016": Here the married couple enjoy a happy New Year's Eve together in Europe. ↓ CD Drama "Days of Happiness ~Stories from In Bed~" CD Drama: Set some years later, Kazusa and Haruki share a wholesome pillow-talk as a happy couple living abroad.
