What version of white album is this? There are 3 versions. Is this the windows xp/2000 version or the ones before?

Not sure if you will reply back but here it goes. I downloaded the game from the anime-sharing website. I mounted the ISO into Daemon Tools but it says that it can not run it on a 64 bit system. I already tried applying the compatibility option in properties to the EXE file but still doesn't work. DId you suffer this same issue or not at all? Clarifying that I have a Windows 11 .

First, thanks for have uploaded those videos, cause i dont think someone, besides you, have played the 1rst White Album visual novel. The other premise is that i just saw the anime adaptation and im interested to do a comparison between the two operas. Because you have played to the original novel, i would like to know if a few of those events which i will list happens in this one: for example, the (ass**le) Tamaru, the ex boyfriend of Misaki, appears? Likewise, the ex manager of Rina, who gets fired and then tries to get revenge on her, appears? The older sister of Mana, Menou Matsuyama appears? In the anime is shown that she was a childhood friend of the protagonist, and she seems also interested in him (this is the impression that she gave me at least). Rina's poisoning, which occurs nearly at the end of the anime, e and due to the shock coming from this event, Rina lost her voice (temporarily) happens in the Rina's route in the original novel? All the events bounded to Eiji and his crimes, like tax evasion, due of having bought all those paintings and that one in which is represented that blonde girl, who looks alike with her mother (in the anime says this) happens here? And if all those events didn't occurred in the original VN, the other question would be: from where they jumped out?

The anime made a LOT of changes from the original, most of which are things you mentioned. 1. Tamaru doesn't appear, that's anime original. 2. I believe Rina's ex-manager is mentioned, but he never appears; he is never mentioned after being fired. 3. Menou Matsuyama never appears, she is an anime-original character. 4. Rina doesn't get poisoned or lose her voice. 5. I think everything with Eiji was original to the anime. As far as I can remember, there wasn't even anything about paintings. He just helped with Yuki's music and was another love interest for her. 6. Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the last question.

@@aidansvgarchive Thanks a lot for your answer, you have solved one of my greatest doubts. I would be interesting to know why the animators, at the time, decided to do all those changes and from where they had those ideas, but probably we'll never know. And thanks again for have uploaded this gameplay because i was really curios about the original VN and if i saw what happened in there is all thanks to you. Greets.

Hi. I am trying to play the game in my win11 64bit Laptop but seems like it's not working cuz it is a 16 bit game. But tried playing To Heart by the same developer (Leaf) downloaded from Archive that came out a yr later (1999) it's working just fine. Any means on how to play it or any source from where to download a playable version? Thanks in advance.

I don’t remember where I got the game, but you should be able to download it off anime-sharing(dot)com. Someone uploaded all the Leaf games there recently and they’ve worked fine for me. As far as I can remember, I just used Daemon Tools Lite to run the virtual disks and patched the audio in with _inmm.dll and it worked fine. (Audio wouldn’t loop correctly for me unless I patched it in) I’m on Windows 10 though so idk if that changes anything

@@aidansvgarchive thank you very much. Sorry I'm a little late for it but from wherever I download it's the same thing that's happening on my windows 11 laptop. The problem was that it opens well by default in fullscreen mode and when I try to make it windowed or try to exit, it completely hangs my laptop. I ain't able to even task manager to stop this shit. I tried it on my windows 10 desktop. Out of my surprise it works without any disturbance. It opens in windowed mode and I don't face problem while quitting it or changing the window size. Thank you very much. (Btw there's no English patch right? I have downloaded quite a few of the games by leaf and none of them have English patches. Fortunately I can read Japanese - although not much, I'll start N3 soon - so I can somewhat have a jist of it.)

@@kajalnag7327 no English patch, but the 2010(?) remake recently got announced for Steam w/ an official English translation I think the only Leaf games with patches are Utawarerumono, Tears to Tiara, and ToHeart 2.

It's been a long time since I downloaded it, so I don't remember where exactly I got it from. You should be able to find a download though if you google something like "white album 1998 pc download". Of course, it's not available anywhere official anymore; Leaf removed all their games (besides WA2) from DMM a couple years ago.

@@jeffreyliu3043 As far as I know, there aren't any English translations around. Programs like Visual Novel OCR auto-translate VNs for you though if you're interested in that, and White Album 2 has a fan translation.
