What is your main struggle when shooting white background product photos for e-commerce?

I'm in charge of taking hair extension product photos. Got a white background on the desk. 2*400W strobe lights. Hair extensions can be 20-30" long, and I always end up with a bright spot in the middle. Wondering how I can optimize light placements, or if I should upgrade my rig.

Hello! Could you also share how is your light positioned on your setup and in what angle are you shooting the products? I have some ideas how to improve your setup.

@@martinhallikvisuals Most important angle is op-to-down, portrait style. Strobe lights positioned to the left and right, in a 45 degree downwards angle. Still have a boom light stand and a larger stoftbox that I could use.

Just to make sure, are you using also softboxes for the strobes that are left and right?

@@martinhallikvisuals Yes, I'm using them. But the softboxes are about the same length as the hair extensions, and there's definitely less light coming from the edges than from the center. I'm getting decent pics if I fold the extensions to something that can fit in a square space

Hi, thank you for the good words! I am using Canon software EOS Utility which comes free with the camera. Very easy to use and I can use it over wifi without any cables.
