Yomiuriland looks like a cool park to visit, this ride looks more painful than GhostRider at Knott's Berry Farm. Hope this wooden coaster gets a fresh coat of paint cause it needs one bad. In fact the whole coaster should have gotten redone with new wood pieces. It's funny how the sign says "Good Luck", right before the first drop.

This was obviously just a very poorly designed roller coaster from the beginning. Those turns are so sudden, no wonder it threw you around so violently. The park clearly never maintained it either judging by the track so it just got really unpleasant as time went on.

I certainly can't speak on the maintenance part. But the turnarounds on the Original Cyclone weren't banked either. The trains also look like they played a major roll in the pain part. I can imagine that the Coney Island Cyclone, being built in 1927, is probably rough as nails too. But you don't notice the roughness because the trains are heavily padded on all sides.
