just as a note we ran with no safety chains between locomotive and the engineer rider car because the hooks had previously snapped while holding down the locomotive in our trailer on the way home. we could only get closed ones to transport it safely to the WCRR.

Wow! This is to date the best of this type of railroad I've seen. There seems to be a strong effort to be as true to the prototype as possible. Obviously there's a lot of property to work with, but it has a great balance of open line running at full throttle and just enough diverging rail to keep it perpetually interesting. Very nice.

While not a permanent solution, choke collars can make decent temporary safety chains. True it only helps if the coupler is still in the pocket, but it's what I've been using on EC&A 4's caboose until I can rebuild it.

I believe that safety chains are required at White Creek. This is a good run.

same, i'm 29 and i have wanted a train like this since i was 6 or 7 years old and even if i do win the lottery i still have cerebral palsy and autism that may make operating a train like this a challenge

Those Loco's are wobbling to much, either track needs Gravel tamp and releveling of Sub Base or something going on with Traction Wheels...... It looked like very close to a derail several times?

This railroad is in Michigan and our hard freeze thaw cycle would undo any work done in the summer as soon as winter came. Derailments are common but is most often a problem with equipment than the tracks , except when the gauge is out and work is being to fix the gauge in several places.
