God, I miss this lineup and sound. They were untouchable in this era.

Man so glad I found this. Was at the show. I remember giving James a F yeah after the set and he hugged me drenched in sweat. Didn't like the sweat, but loved the love haha

This is the best White Denim. Never sounded as raw since. First time i saw them my head was blown off. Then it all changed...

One of the best gigs I've been to. Not for everyone though, pretty raw!

mrridds Its the RAW thats the best part. Its always a treat when you hear talent like this, THE WHOLE FUCKING BAND, and its got that rawness. Money makes that edge go away replacing it with smoothness. Its why so many bands with multiple albums, one of their first albums are their best. I know dig FITS as their best.

This is cool...never seen any good video footage of them as a trio

I agree. So proto. Kind of exemplifies why they added Austin Jenkins. Not that James Petralli couldn't do it. It's just the looping is so complex. I don't play guitar so I don't know what's involved. But I read an interview where Terebecki said that they wanted to add additional layers to their sound and it just became so complex with the processors that performing some of their songs live became...daunting. When I met James Petralli - I can't remember the year (it was the "D" tour) - he told me that he hadn't been playing guitar for very long. I was astonished, given his obvious skill. Having said all that, I'll wrap it up with this: Best. Rhythm. Section. Ever.
