I was shocked at Pink's reaction at first, but I kinda like it the more I think about it! Steven is scared of his diamond powers, and when he snaps and does something "diamond-like" by manipulating and almost killing PD, the reaction is one of no concern at all. Praise, even. No pushback or punishment for leaning into what he's scared of becoming. There is no safety net preventing the worst from happening should he have another moment of weakness. The last person he could turn to for help is an enabler.

Well, to Pink who is secure in her power, this is all a game to her, (a fun little puppet show) and she wants everyone else to play with her, she doesn't feel validated in her authority unless other gems play with her and engage with her unstructured light-hearted enabling freedom-loving chaotic philosophies. I wouldn't be surprised if power-tripping Pink Diamond (Joker/Harley Quinn logic) in this universe turned everything into a lawless chaotic circus with no order or control with everyone clowning around. And just enabled everyone to follow their every heart's whims. "Who cares what I want, what do YOU want to do? There's no consequences for anything you do whatsoever." Absolute anarchy & madness. Nothing was off-limits, no power or emotion or action is too good or too bad to be held back or refrained from, "Let it all out. No regrets." White represented order & control (either enough or too much) where everyone is perfect and plays their roles to its maximum output, Pink represented love & freedom (either enough or too much) where everyone is free to play and to be as silly as they'd like, such is a clown world.
