White DJ Speakers - Are they worth it?

The thing I find most amazing is seeing pics of DJ's transporting gear that do not have any form of protection ... i.e covers or cases!! In the UK those are know as 'Magic Sponges'

How do you feel about 2 Evolve 50's and say an ELX200 18SP Sub as a first starter system? I found a few of them for around $2500.00 (for a pair of Evolve 50s)? Great videos! Keep it up! :).

White speakers in general are not a new thing and if you're handy you can paint a black speaker. Are they a fad? Remember when every computer was white, what color are they all now? Keep in mind black goes with everything and disappears in dark rooms. Any slim column array no matter the color will look less conspicuous compared to a 15" 2 way point source with an 18" sub under it but unless you spend some real money it won't sound as good especially for loud crowd hyping on a vocal mic. Nice tips on keeping them up, that Mr Clean magic eraser works great on white sneakers too.

@@djphilsantos Yo My guy, I just went to the Hobby store with one of the poles and matched the white to the best white pen. It's an Ivory color. Only about 10 bucks!

I simply can't stand white gear. It just looks cheap and silly in my opinion. That said, to each his or her own. I'll personally never use white pro gear.
