clarthur23... I am a native dancer. The way I was brought up and raised is that even if you not native blood, if it feels right to you and you respect the culture then anyone is welcome into the circle. Ive been dancing for almost 14 1/2 years. I dont look native but I do have native blood in me, My mom is not native, but she has been dancing as well. If its in your heart and you respect the culture (which by your post you do respect to a great deal) than you are welcome.

Back then powwows were for ceremony’s not a zoo I can’t believe most powwows are for show now a days people just show up for money now not a ceremony and I am native I hate how people can think that it’s all a show now it used to be a ceremony

You are welcome at any gathering, you may dance during intertribals at any time, you don't have to be native =)

Im not native American Indian at all..... so I would not think any powwow would be willing to have me as a guest. it's pirely for the Native American people, this kind of ceremony,

mysterygirl20101 Most Pow Wows welcome white people. I've been to a couple of White Earth's Pow Wows and each time they treated us like family. The last ceremony I went to, they gave my sister Joy a free meal just because she was new and a mother.

Please Sister, Don't let that thought come to mind. Next time you see or hear of a pow wow near you. Don't be afraid to sit and watch. We love to see people of ALL backgrounds/nationalities join us in celebration. It's about celebrating life, making new friends and having a good time. At some places, we love to invite and bring spectators into the circle to dance with us. So next time you hear of a pow wow...Please join in! :)
