Do you know what impresses me the most about this tune? 9 years. It's been 9 years since Kretan did the remix of Monolith from White Eyes, and White Eyes did the remix of Godless from Kretan. Correct my if am wrong, but in 9 years, these two absolute beasts have never once actually done a direct collab. And now they've produced something that sounds as amazing as they did almost a decade ago, with the help of Dream Eater and Soulless Cvlt of course, can't forget them. I'm extremely happy to listed to Kretan again and see that unlike some other returning artists he has kept the sound which made him, well, him! While a change to reintroduce oneself isn't necessarily bad, as for example did Rushkid not so long ago, I'm not sure if for his case it would have been the same. It'd be Kretan again, but would it be Kretan? With White Eyes' saturated AF bases which as I mentioned in Gehenna help sometimes "fix" those sounds I may not like as much about other artists, and newer much more metal-like production, combining the sound design of these four artists results in what pretty much could only be described as listening to a burning hellfire. It's not just a compliment to say that the tune is fire, it genuinely sounds like it with that crisp, strength and grit. I'm hopeful that with the return of the og producers, this somehow sparks a new generation of them with their own original sounds, for honestly I believe we were getting to a point where a good chunk of Minatory and Deathstep could be described as "sample-pack reinterpretations". There's definitively been a lot of great unique artists, but stills.
