Reminds me of this girl i met in 2008. We never actually dated but i had the best three months of my life spent with her. It was august 18th when she called me up one day and told me she was dating someone else and we couldn’t see each other anymore. I expected that would happen and i tried to understand as much of it as i could. But i won’t forget the times i spent alone in my room and alone everywhere else, just thinking about her. 2 years later, in 2010, she calls me. We catch up all night on the phone and we met up a couple days later. It happens all over again and i fall in love with her for the second time. One thing that stuck with me was the pain i endured when i didn’t have her. And all i could worry about was that is gonna happen again. She was in college too and i figured she was going to be seeing someone from her school. I was right. She did it again. Had the nerve to call me and say the same things, how she’s dating someone else, and we shouldn’t see each other again. This time, there was no pain. I enjoyed being by myself, i enjoyed spending time with my own friends rather than just dropping everyone for her. I enjoyed forming a better bond with my family, and i enjoyed doing things for me for once. But the best part about this story is that, she is my wife now. She’s even pregnant with twins. The world works in mysterious ways. Always trust the future and never let the bad things hold you back. It is never the end of the world when situations like this happen. It may feel like it, but trust me, it is not. You will be okay.

This came up after me and my boyfriend of two years just broke up. I know for some it doesn’t seem like awhile but in high school it is. He was my first love and my first everything. The first time we broke up I didn’t know what to do with myself I thought I lost a part of my heart I cried every single day and night. I thought my life was over and I would never find love. We got back together and I thought something’s would change but they didnt. I was so in love and thought that was what I wanted that I completely ignored his flaws. He left me for another girl and yet again I was so heartbroken. I never felt that kind of pain before it hurt more than anything I’ve ever experienced. I wrote letters to him everyday, prayed about him, I wished for him everyday. We got back together for the last time and lasted a year. I let him treat me in ways that now I look back and ask myself why. Seeing this I could relate to his pain so much because no matter what I will always love that one person.

This genuinely made my eyes tear up a bit. I'm in high school, and last year I met this boy that melted my heart in ways I didn't think where possible. He was sweet, shy, and the most caring you could possibly imagine. He would sneak out of class to comfort me when I was having panic attacks, and was at a really low point in my life. (I was suffering from from depression and anxiety at the time. I still am but I'm diagnosed now and on medication which has helped a lot) We didn't didn't date, but he's the first and only person I've ever fallen in love with. The last time I ever saw him in person he kissed me on the bleachers at the park across the road from where I live. He transfered schools, started to act less and less than himself, and in the end only texted me me when he wanted something from me. The last thing he ever texted me was a paragraph saying we can't talk anymore and he blocked me. It broke my heart. I've seen him around town a few times since, but we've only made eye contact. Every time I see someone who looks the tiniest bit like him now my heart literally starts beating faster. I've heard a rumor now that he's moving cities. I know I'll never see him again if he moves, but part of me wishes he reaches out to me somehow. I still have his number saved in my phone, and to this day I still call it sometimes, hoping that maybe one day he'll pick up or shoot me a text. Conner if you somehow see this,I love you

My story is similar but different. There’s this one boy that I’ve known forever because our parents are good friends. We went to the same summer camp out whole life but never talked. We live 3 hours away. This summer I decided to work at camp the same year he did. With proximity, I realized how similar and how funny, caring, and amazing he was. I started to catch feelings but he had a girlfriend of 8 months at the time, so I knew I had to lose them. As time went on my feelings got so strong I couldn’t bear to not tell him. I wrote him a letter telling him everything and how I know how wrong it was. I didn’t end up giving it to him though. A week later him and his girlfriend broke up. I was there for him and helped get him through it. He thanked me multiple times for it. 2 weeks later he found out that I had something to tell him somehow and kind of forced it out of me. I ended up just giving him the letter cuz I couldn’t use words. Turns out he felt the same and we started to fall for each other. He goes back home for the summer like 2 weeks after that and we keep talking. Basically his dad grew up in a cult and has a lot of trauma and is very very strict. His dad found out that we were talking and took his phone. He told him that he wasn’t allowed to have feelings for a girl and was awakening love. We communicate through his sister for awhile and eventually he got his phone back. We were going good again, but his dad wasn’t on track so I told him I didn’t want to date until we had his blessing. We were kind of on a halt, but kept falling for each other more and more as the days went on, praying that his dad would open his heart. Somehow his dad let him come back to camp for a weekend for our camp RA’s wedding , so we thought there was hope. He is still the sweetest person ,and has bought me flowers though we aren’t dating. Then he was planning on talking to his dad about us, but his dad beat him to it. He said he’s too young to open his heart, and can until he’s 18 which is in 7 months. He also said he wasn’t allowed to talk to me. We just went no contact because we decided that was best to respect his dad 2 hours ago and I’ve been crying since

I’ll never really forget her. She was so amazing to me . I remember watching movies in the park with her while we looked at the sky and talked about the stars. Our favorite was the Big Dipper. Every night when I run it’s all I look at . She’s all I ever think about . I’ll never be the first choice for her- or anyone . And sure that hurts. But what we had felt so real . When we met we didn’t know who each other were . Now I don’t really know who she is . Just a person I have memories with . I used to look for our initials on those silly TikTok’s made for 8 year olds. The night before she told me she didn’t want to continue talking she sent me “Goodnight❤” then the next day I was told I was a good guy. Which that hurts so bad. She held some of the best months of my life - some of the happiest months of my life. Her favorite frank ocean song was novacane . She also really liked. You guessed it “white Ferrari” as I watched this KZbin video I got a sense of emotion that it was me with her . Which obviously it wasn’t. I wish she’d come back I really do . But someone once said “if it’s true love it’ll work if it doesn’t it was never love at all.” So I guess I should move on and forget about it. I’ll never forget about my first love .
