Vito’s tapping and lead playing gets a lot of attention and rightfully so…but can we talk about his chord voicings and song writing ability?!?! Unmatched!!!

As a player, obviously inspired by EVH, probably every bit as good as EVH for skills & emulating EVH. The difference was EVH was multi-platinum for consecutive albums for the DLR & Van Hagar era. White Lion was like Winger, the backend of Hair Band era of the 1980's that eventually would have to compete with Guns & Roses & eventually gave way to the Seattle Grunge transition of the early 1990's. The same day but a month earlier, White Lion released Pride (06/21/1987), was the same day G&R released Appetite for Destruction (07/21/1987). Timing is everything in the business world. VB was that amazingly good.

@@stratcat9432 Tramp's voice is pretty good on studio recordings (like everyone else's) but I think what held them back was their choice of topics to sing about. Nobody really wants to get in their car and cruise around with friends blasting "Cry For Freedom", "Broken Home" (as awesome as that song is. Screw "My Name Is Luka"), "Til Death Do Us Part", "Baby Be Mine" (awesome use of delay in the solo), "You're All I Need" (another awesome song), "When The Children Cry" and any other song that might be deemed to have "Cheesey lyrics".

Okay I solved the mystery of the sticker on the back of the guitar. If you pause the video at 5:21 and hit the Period on your keyboard to advance frame by frame, it'll come into focus enough to show the word "FARTED?" And you know I already saw the "WHO" on the back of the guitar in another video. So there you have it. "WHO FARTED?"

I remember watching this when it aired on Mtv. I didn't know they had another album before Pride. So when they played this song and I loved the dark, heavy intro and the quick staccato playing, I went and got Fight To Survive as soon as I could. I listened to the studio version and was disappointed that instead of the staccato, he just did volume swells. Needless to say, I prefer this version more. He also did the staccato on this live version of "All Join Our Hands", but not on the album. Again, live version is better. 🙂

@@vitobrattaforever402 Those extra stickers are finding new homes. 🙂 I have a cheap Amazon strat with no logo on the headstock so one sticker went on that. I stuck one on the Spirit GT Pro that is used in my profile pic, and two others went on the pickguards of a couple of Les Pauls. I have two small ones and two large (or maybe "medium" since the ones that are being made now are even larger lol) left. I'll save those for the Chineberger with the Floyd Rose. (If I go thru with that deal.)

@@vitobrattaforever402 No. I'm waiting for the stickers. It would be real hard to apply it if the strings were on. Too much work to take them off, put the sticker down, then restring and set up. Also, I'm going to try Rotosound's Roto Oranges strings. They're coming by the end of the week.
