Some Christians only have this little undeveloped girl in their minds when they talk about Ayesha (RA) but little do they realise that some women grow up at an early age. Getting married to the female assured the safety of the female. Consummating the marriage only occurred when she was mature. The problem is that what you consider mature is not what the Arabs of the time considered as mature. Your daughter of sister in the time would have also been married of at that age or you would have been labeled and your daughter victimized by that society as not being marriageable. This was a disgrace at the time and hence a lot of females were buried alive to avoid this embarrassment in the future. At maturity the female body is equipped to handle sexual experience. We in modern times have increased the age to accommodate our own factors of maturity,which is not necessarily accurate, that is why there is differences from country to country as to the marriageable age.

As soon as Rebecca’s birth is mentioned in Genesis 22, few verses down (next chapter), we read that Sarah died at the age of 127 years old (Genesis 23:1-3). 5. At the time of Sarah’s death, Isaac would be have been 37-years-old. 6. Isaac married Rebecca at the age of 40 (Genesis 25:20), this would show from the Bible that Rebecca was only three years old, given that she was only born three years prior, just after the Mount Moriah incident and the death of Sarah. With the above in context, we also provided many ancient to contemporary scholars and sources that agreed that Rebecca was married at a very young age, three years old exactly as the scholars said. In this piece, we will try look at certain verse from Genesis account closer to see and establish from scholars what the age of Rebecca was when she was married off. We showed from the previous piece that the incident on Mount Moriah (Genesis 22 to 23) and the death of Sarah occurred simultaneously.

@@stevenclark5646 Open your mind, ..do not bias... The event of Mount Moriah, the birth of Rebekah (Genesis 22) and the death of Sarah (Genesis 23:1-3) happened simultaneously at the same time. This interpretation that these events occurred at the same time is accepted by some of the earliest ancient/medieval scholars, thus showing that Isaac was in his 30s when his mother died. Isaac was born when Sarah was 90 years old (Genesis 17:15-22). Sarah died at the age of 127, this would make Isaac 37 at the time of her mother’s demise (Genesis 23:1-3). Rebecca was born when Isaac was in his late 30s (Genesis 22). Isaac married Rebecca when he was 40-years-old (Genesis 25:20) This means, that Rebekah was between the ages of 3 to 10 years old when she was married off to Isaac. No limited of age married, before Islam...For Islam, than must reach purberty..and need concern and agreedment from women before can intercourse...
