A few years ago, we’d see an old British man exercising in a local park called town club/ladies club. Everyone knew him as Major. Apparently, he was a retired British army officer and he’d been living in Peshawar for the past 10-15 years or so. Loads of foreigners (or should I say natives haha) who grew up here, especially prior to the 70s. My dad and my grandfather both remembered Americans, Brits and some people from the gulf growing up here and in Lahore. Nowadays, there’s an influx of Iranians in Peshawar.
