Not really sure. I suppose White Pass decided this lift didn't need them at the time since the outgoing lift didn't have them. They could also have done it to cut costs, since safety bars cost extra to add.

@@TwinSkiingLiftsRides It's typical for bunny hill lifts in general to not have safety bars in Washington, only new installs will have them. However, I wouldn't consider Far East a "bunny hill" lift, given how long it is and how its trail system is set up.

@sorenjones Not too mention, this lift goes way to fast to be a beginner lift.
