I appreciate you two so much for being opened minded and not racist. You're both a breathe of fresh air. Thank you. 😊

the only racism here is that original video evoking thought on race the fact your mind automatically went to racism is weird and uncalled for

I always give people a side eye when I hear them say, I love Beyoncé’s earlier work ex: Crazy in Love and Single Ladies. Too many white people are simply comfortable in their own ignorance. Many of Beyoncé’s fans refused to support her music once she began singing about Black issues and standing proud in her Blackness. It was extremely eye opening and I love the way SNL depicted this in a humorous way.

Because certain people like Black culture but not Black people.

This same group of people don’t like when black artists or black ppl in general use black culture too much. When black ppl use their voices to speak up about racial injustice they’ll be accused of "playing the race card". Therefore, it’s very common for black ppl to act more reserved in social settings where white ppl are present to not be perceived with these stereotypical traits. I think it’s sad how black ppl must stay "whitewashed" in a way to even benefit.

This was epic. The fallout to the superbowl performance and video was a thing to witness.

Yeah, that skit definitely puts into perspective some of the....backlash Beyonce got after she dropped her Lemonade album and why some of her fans are ready to strike out when people bash her bc it was extra rough commentary for her after that. The death threats, the bigotry and just crazy made up stories around that time was A LOT to say the least, but that SNL skit touching on the fact that some people didnt like Beyonce being more unapologetically black through her music was spot on. It was a bit dramatic, a bit scary and a little funny at times. That was definitely a shift for her and her fans because she lost some who felt like she was no longer "consumable" for their politic palates but gained some even stronger ones who seemingly have stuck by her through thicker and thinner lol Great video, glad youtube let you guys keep it up (no jinx🤞)

This !!! Honestly it was the start of everyone turning against her !! Makes me so mad
@herewaskendra3 күн бұрын
Yeah. This is for real too. I work in corporate and the day she dropped this everyone was asking me questions about it. Like she was safe to listen to for you 8.5x11s until she started speaking on real shit that frankly a majority of you dont want to face. The fact is, this world is biased against Black.people. Period. But a lot of yall pretend that its not when it is. Of course its not your fault that you geew up not knowing, but too many of yall get real upset that racism even exists and the anger is aimed at us.

This skit always sends me 😂😂😂. Beyoncé was making mostly generic music until Lemonade when she started making unapologetically black music. This made her lose more than 50% of her white fans but she wasn't perturbed. She kept doubling down and I love her for it.
@jlawlessq61223 күн бұрын
Generic??? Her music always been black but with broader messaging.
