what's the length of the dropper loop and pound line ??? Thanks !!
@KambotroutFishing Жыл бұрын
Hey Chuck. I use between 4-6 pound test line. I’m partial to either Sunline or P-line. The dropper loops themselves are very short, maybe an inch at most. The space between the dropper loops is usually 6-8 inches. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for watching 🎣

I used to think Maryland wasn't great for fishing, I used to try & fish every summer while crabbing- in the Wye river throwing every lure I had. Like everything, knowledge is power. That's why 10% of the fisherman catch 90% of the fish. Great video bro!
@KambotroutFishing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks much brother! There’s def still some good water in MD, even great water. It kills me that I can’t share specific locations as much as I’d like, but man I’ve seen what happens to spots when someone does. Regardless, we have the tools now to find these spots and we should be able to link up this year too 👍

@@KambotroutFishing Thanks brother, part of the fun is the discovery & learning on our own, gives it value. I'd love to come down & even just video once this summer. I know it's not as easy as you make it look! I don't always give away my hunting spots, but when I do.. It's a lie, lol!

Do you think White Perch will be back in the Severn at this point?
@KambotroutFishing3 жыл бұрын
Great question and I’m not sure. I usually don’t fish them there until around May, but I have a friend or two who should know. I think there is also a tributary to the Severn that has a perch run in it.

@@MonoTalonGaming no problem 👍 I talked to my buddy who fished the Severn often and he said you won’t find the perch shallow until mid to late April. You may be able to find some deeper, but it would be a search for em.

Where is a good kayak spot for perch at this time of the year? I really haven’t been out there because I don’t know any good spots
@KambotroutFishing3 жыл бұрын
By now, I think most of the white perch runs are unfortunately wrapping up. I could be wrong, so it’s worth checking some fishing reports, but I do think those spawning runs are wrapping up. One area that I like to use are the launches on the Severn River where I then fish the various docks along the shoreline. Once it hits around mid to late May, there’s usually lots of good size perch around those docks.

I wish you were a little more specific on what part of the bay you were fishing. There is a big difference in timing from the Nanticoke river to the Chester or Elk rivers. Not looking for a specific creek but lower, mid, or upper bay would be nice. I live at the top of the bay and usually fish the Elk, North East and Susquehanna. We had a decent yellow run this year on the North East but nothing like your previous yellow perch video.
