Yay! Found the name of the reader for Cats of Ulthar and some of the others: Gordon Gould! He sounds like E.G. Marshall, and when I could not find anything to indicate that Marshall had ever recorded Lovecraft, I was going insane! I like this voice, and want more.

I think so. But i think he is supposed to entered a real alternate world through his dreams, not just constructs in his mind. He had the luxury of waking but the man on the ship really went to his doom
