5:55 Why White Contains the Theme of Equality
The second film in Kieslowski's Three Color Trilogy, "White" is plot-heavy. It's also about, as this video argues, Poland versus France, and Poland's place in Europe and the world, after ditching communism and the supposed economic equality of communism.
As I argue, "White" is about "equality" -- all kinds of equality. Is it critical of all forms of equality? Maybe. This video reviews and analyzes "White" as a meditation on the second value of the French Revolution.
