@@demrasnawla It does locally, but when you have an infection that you need to get rid of, sacrifices might have to be made. To replace healthy mouth / throat flora, you can get Lactobacillus salivarius as a probiotic supplement. As far as destroying all healthy bacteria, you'd need to eat an awful lot of thyme. Most beneficial bacteria exist in the large intestine - which is at the end. Most compounds have been absorbed by the body and decimated by then.

They all do 😅 You just don't expect the germ killer to help with headaches. In the same way you don't take Benadryl for a headache, but aspirin instead because you'd then say the Benadryl was ineffective bc it didn't cure the headache well, yeah, it's not for that! Every oil has a purpose and different methods of use may make one way more effective than others. For example you can take oregano oil internally as a pill, that will be different than putting it topically on your skin. But both kill germs. If you have an internal infection like candida, it won't help much to put on your skin unless the outside area is showing symptoms like your scalp but it's not treating the root cause. Some oils like sleep oils with chamomile are better absorbed into the feet directly for relaxing purposes. Some may be better as a compress or mixed with carrier oils and applied in different areas. There's an entire degree on how to use these most effectively, including going more in depth into using them with cold lasers and liposomal application. This is just not as profitable so it is not promoted to doctors like prescription drugs.
