Nice fishing trip. I only keep a couple of sand trout to eat the same day. They get to mushy. Some kind of bird in the background while you were cooking wanting a taste. Tasty looking fish.

No way! I caught a ton of them this year I cut them off. You can eat them??
@georgeniebergall7074Ай бұрын
@ they catch them in South Carolina huge and they say they are so good eating it’s unbelievable. I didn’t believe it either until I saw it but the ones in South Carolina are like 1520 pounds. They’re big but they are delicious.
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
We'll have to try them.
@georgeniebergall7074Ай бұрын
I watch the whole show I quantum in South Carolina and the ribbon fish were absolutely enormous, but they strictly went for the ribbon fish and they said they tasted like lobster. I only can go by what I saw on the show, but the man said never throw them away they’re great eating.
@georgeniebergall7074Ай бұрын
@@vanlifebayou if you like lobster that’s exactly what they taste like so I’m told I never ate them either but I watched the show South Carolina when I catch monsters like 8 to 10 pound ones and they are absolutely delicious so they say they say they taste like lobster

Rose, ground mullet (in Mississippi) is the same fish they call king fish in New Jersey and the same fish they call whiting in Florida.

Joyce next time try not using the butter when frying with cracker crumbs. The milk solids in the butter burn quickly causing the cracker crumbs to burn. Just a thought. The fish looked delicious
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
We used the butter because we had a lot left over from when we went out to dinner and didn't want to waste it lol.

I like my fish bone in I don't like when they're fillet I guess I'm a fish and crab eater I need my whole fish
@TheOldCoupleOutdoorsАй бұрын
Gail, we sometimes cook them whole. Some of the larger fish we fillet both sides and fry the bones we call it fish ribs, it's very good. It's like getting 3 fillets out of a fish.
