Just to clarify the Ship of Thesus conversation. In that scene they determined that Wandas creation had no original material whatsoever and while white vision may not remember, he is by far more of "the vision" than the "F-ision" was. The idea of the Ship of Thesus was simply the concept of if a ship in a museum has its parts all replaced because it was rotting, is it still the real ship? Then later if you're able to restore those parts, which ship is the original.

Unethical? No. White Vision is the same case as the Red Son Superman, Superman was a 'villain' because he landed in Russia. Your origin moulds your mind. All White Vision knew was that he was a newborn powerful AI designed to kill Wanda until Vision helped him remember the origin of his parts, which is when his moral compass realigned to what he had before he was rebuilt and rewritten. Hence the Ship of Theseus or however you spell it.

What people (or at least the people worth caring about) are seeking is consistency. "Does something make sense by the rules of the world we are presented?" The Mind Stone, despite what many people think, isn't what allows Vision to phase. That's just Vision naturally. That's one of his main powers from the comics. Phase shifting is just one of his natural abilities. The Mind Stone was just a big enhancer. If they had succeeded with safely removing the Stone from Vision's head, in Infinity War, he'd still have those powers. The forehead beam is a natural power from the comics too. Since they replaced it here, and powered up Vision with the energy from Wanda's chaos magic, he no longer needs the Mind Stone to fire it. That may even be his solar gem, which is what's originally in Vision's head in the comics. The gem would obsorb energy from the sun, like Superman, making Vision stronger, and he uses that energy to fire his beam.

I hope vision in the comics can turn into a white vision (like a super saiyan mode) much like cap marvel can access binary form or archangel of xmen can turn into death with metal wings but with bloodlust. In vision case, he can turn into white vision becoming more powerful but the downside is he becomes more of a machine and lacks human empathy and restraint but gets the job done. It would be interesting thing to explore and writers could have fun with that.
