White Water Rafting - Tara River - Montenegro

Rafting is experience you should not miss when you are in Montenegro. It is one of the most popular excursions which is characterized by high dose of adrenaline and natural beauty.
The road from Budva takes us through Podgorica, Niksic, Pluzine, Piva Lake to Scepan Polje. The drive itself goes through really stunning parts of Montenegro.
Upon arrival in Scepan Polje we have breakfast at restaurant on the river bank, then easily we start preparation for the white water rafting. Participants receive all equipment and instructions for safe rafting.
After breakfast transfer from restaurant with jeeps to Brstanovica rafting start point is a 20 min drive. Rafting from Brstanovica to Scepan Polje is 18 km long. In this part of the canyon there are 21 rapids from total 50 that exist on the Tara River.
The total time spent on the Tara river is around 2.5 to 3 hours (depending on the season, river flow and speed) and this includes a stop to swim in the waterfalls (depending on river conditions). Professional skippers with international licence will take care of you and make your day unforgettable.
Upon completion of the rafting you will have a lunch of local specialties.

You travelled from the Montenegro coast to Tara and back in the same day?! That was a long day, or?

Yes, the same day. The excursion starts in Budva at 06:30 in the morning and the journey to Scepan Polje, the starting point of rafting takes approximately 4 hours. Rafting lasts about 3 hours, after rafting is lunch and after lunch around 16:00 is return to Budva. Arrival in Budva is around 20:00 h.
