Made my first custom made whiteboard animation with your tips using illustrator and after effects. To imitate real whiteboard I kept my strokes size consistent and just used two widths throughout the video (It was easier too). For transition, I found that doing a erase type animation with a very thick stroke works great. Looking forward for more such videos. Btw I would love it if you can take a look at it and let me know how is it and if I can improve in some way. You can recognize the video from the whiteboard style thumbnail.

I think it looks awesome - really well done! One thing you can work on is strengthening of the connection between 1) voice-over and 2) animations. Sometimes, it's hard to see the immediate relation between the two - as a viewer of your video. Keep up the good work! Rued

I find it hard to do point number 8. Is there any tips to do so?
@RuedRiisCom Жыл бұрын
It takes practice indeed. My best tip is to think of visuals that support and elaborate on the voice-over. Less is more, and delete anything that confuses more than it helps. Timing-wise, it's a technical thing - you need the sync in order for it to be easily digestible.

Thank you for this video and your tips, it looks great too. The whole whiteboard animation process is starting to seem much easier now! Can you tell me what font type did you use for the "MY BEST TIPS" text in the initial scene? (I'll be creating my first test videos.) By the way, both VideoScribe and Doodly now allow you to import images and props with the added benefit of allowing you to create draw paths for the imported stuff -- making them look exactly as the native imagery.
@RuedRiisCom3 жыл бұрын
I think the font was called something with "hand". It's one of the default in Vyond, so you'll find it easily. Yes, I hear that but it doesn't seem that interesting to me.. I work fast and use what the tools have already - rarely important anything other than logos, which I let remain as they are. How do you use it?
@redhotmustang3 жыл бұрын
@@RuedRiisCom Thanks for your reply and info. I think I am going to design some elements (characters and props) myself and then import them into the whiteboard tool I'll be using and creating the necessary draw paths to make it look like they're native to the tool. The thing is that I don't seem to find all the elements I need in the tool (or maybe I'm not looking hard enough). :-) Well, these are only my plans. I've been doing some other research first before actually taking the plunge and start doing it. Keep up the good work!

There are a lot of complaints from creators on KZbin support website that their channels were denied monetization because they use whiteboard software. (Even if the content was original and they used human voiceovers). Apparently, it fails the "autogenerated" policy just because the software (VideoScribe.. etc) that automatically draws the images was used.
@RuedRiisCom4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that sounds wrong. Are you sure that's the reason why? Because then you should ban all tools that help you create animations - like the ones I use. If VideoScribe is the only tool being questioned, consider doing your whiteboard-videos with Vyond instead. Rued

great video! how many hours does it take to do it? And another question, don't you think that with videoscribe it becomes faster?
@RuedRiisCom4 жыл бұрын
Took 1-2 days to do the full thing, I think. Hm, hard to say, I work faster in Vyond, but yeah VideoScribe is able to give you something pretty quickly, but then there's the question of whether that something is valuable and interesting enough to watch.

Hello, First great work! I have one question this type of video (video which is created be software "autogenerated") can be monetize?
@RuedRiisCom4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. This isn't auto-generated-took 8-10 hours to do the animations, 1 hour to do the voice-over and 3-4 hours to research for and write the script. So it's original work, and that can be monetized on KZbin without a problem.
@tonimanolov9807244 жыл бұрын
@@RuedRiisCom Yeah, i think the same way! But i read a lot of comments where people says the can't monetize their videos. So if i use doodly for example and i use my voice over i'll be able to monetize my channel?

How much time you need to make this long video?
@RuedRiisCom4 жыл бұрын
Good question :) In total, I think I spent 6-8 hours on writing, narrating and animating for this video. Although it was spread out over 3 days, in between other tasks. If you are super efficient with your work, using what I call "The Explainer Pyramid" with writing, narrating and animating in that order, you could have a video done in 1-2 days.

Dear Rued is paying Doodly one time is better or the monthly and annualy way is better
@RuedRiisCom2 жыл бұрын
They have a complex pricing setup-but I believe the one-time thing is close to worthless, as it will prompt you to upgrade all the time. I'd say an annual subscription is probably the best, if you've decided this is something you want to learn and use for real.
