Can we just all personally appreciate that you guys are helping to show people how to clean skulls when they’re limited on space and money? Like, seriously, thank you so very much-
@PKHUNTING5 жыл бұрын
One tip if you have never cleaned a beaver skull before. There is alot of meat insde the teeth, and that meat will rot. Pull the teeth out and clean them, and glue them back in. When they are dry, put a coat of epoxy glue glue on the teeth, otherwise they will crack. Trust me, I have done a few. Great video as always!

Good job Mate, watching you videos with interest! One generic thing - and as they say you can't argue the taste - I think that the peroxide in hot solution whitens the skulls a bit much (and the dentition for that matter) - but that's just me. About beaver especially - beaver incisive tend to crack/split as they dry - usually at one year mark. Once this process starts the dentition is destroyed. Here in Sweden we take out the incisive teeth after boiling, take out the pulp and fill them with warm paraffin or wax. tends to keep them from cracking. Cheers!

I recently did a beaver skull and the bottom jaw came apart, there was meat holding it together and I felt like I needed to remove it to prevent a smell down the road. Was that wrong to do? This was my first time ever doing any Euro mount.

Someone brought me a whitetail already skinned out, and they had it soaking in a bucket of fresh water(changing daily) for 2 weeks, all I had to do was degrease and whiten. It whitened really well, but when they brought it to me, it really had a bad stink in the brain cavity area, and after the whitening, it still has a stinch..... Any suggestions on how to get rid of smell for customer..... Thanks and Merry Christmas
