Great insight into Gary's work. He came to our college a few years back and did a presentation, and the synopsis was pretty much identical to this. He's eccentric, a bit perverse (but honestly, who isn't?), but at least he's real. And his work is entertaining to many. Cheers!

I just met Gary Baseman yesterday it was awesome. I was really nervous, I asked him for his autograph and he actually sketch Tobi for me and signed it put my name and all. Definitely more than I asked for. He was really nice and an awesome guy.

Like i love his art but he is majorly fucked up he reeds so deep into things like sex and vanity and dont get me wrong it is a complex thing but still there is somthing very clearly wrong because hes just.....he has a vibe

Overrated artist. Nothing special. He copies the style of cartoons and characters of the past such as those of Segar, Max Fleischer, Disney etc. but in a wrong way. The infantile figures are disturbing.
