Actually, the demon is her personal demon called Mycar who was raping her in the night. That's a quote: “Basically, Phil [Bozeman, vocalist]’s mom would see a demon outside or by her fireside, and she knew that if she saw it there, then it would be by her bedside that night,” says Ben. “She would write these journals which were pretty cryptic - her handwriting would change every now and again. The song title actually came from one of the journals. It talked about the Devil raping a witch. So we interpreted it, and changed it to give it a better flow. We didn’t want the word ‘raping’ in the song title, so we changed the title, and gave Mathis this vision, and he did his own thing with it.” Phil's mother was schizopheric, she was diagnosed with as much as 34 personalities.

I'm super glad you checked this one out! I'm a long-time Whitechapel fan, but for me it was the same thing with the new album: the first few tracks they put out were okay.. but just okay. And since I didnt really like their previous album "Mark Of The Blade" either, I kinda gave up on them. But with this song they got my full attention back and now I love the whole album :D Please check out one of their older songs _Our Endless War!_ This is the one who made me fall in love with this band in the first place!

The two songs you checked out are just one part of Whitechapel’s sound. The album before this new one had a lot of the simple groove based songs like those. Also on that album they have a song called Bring Me Home that’s very melodic like this song but definitely different. The first couple of albums are brutal as hell too and I would say you would love it since you dig Thy Art, Slaughter to Prevail, etc.
