Whiteface Mountain: The Notch

This lift is the first detachable installed out of the Bear Den base. It runs to Legacy Lodge with an angle station on Boreen. It was built to improve mountain connectivity and terrain options for beginner skiers.

It's a beginner lift, so it runs slower than other high speed quads. Their other two detachables were running faster on the day of this recording.

Ooh shiny new detachable! Guessing it will help relieve capacity on the other lifts (specifically Falcon Flyer), and add a one seat ride from Bear Den. Lift has 17 towers and 70 chairs.

It actually has 77 chairs, but only 70 were in use on the day of this recording.

Nifty mid-station setup. Does the lift use one haul rope?

Two haulropes, with a double groove bullwheel at the mid station. Drive is at the bottom, and tensioning is at both the top and bottom.

This is a good video, but this lift is so worthless!
