37 station on route Stoppage time Acceleration time Deceleration time 100+ curves on the stretch On average every 1.1 km has a station . Accounting all the factors above , it is clear why the metro is slow . Here goal is connectivity ....if high speed would have been goal ...they won't accommodate so many stations on route .

@@t4tourstrips246 Average speed is 31-32 kmph. More than Beijing metro, Mumbai metro of similar distances (which are 28-31 kmph range). IT IS GLOBAL STANDARD. BMRCL is FAST compared to BMTC (15-18 kmph average speed Whitefield to Challaghatta) - that is what matters !

Because metro runs INSIDE city, needs to STOP FREQUENTLY. On average 0.8-1.5km average distance between stations. By the time you accelerate to 50-60 kmph from standstill, you have already covered 400m distance or ALMOST HALF. You need same time and distance to slow down to next station. Result (MATHEMATICAL) is that your top speed will be 60-70 kmph max for a few seconds. Or average at the best will be 30-34kmph for average distance of 1-1.2km between stations.

Wouldn't hurt standing in the metro for that much time for me standing in metro fir only 15 minutes hurt my leg i cant belive standing for 1 hour straight would be like in a crowded metro especially in majestic station
