I don't think that was a white perch - they are wider than that. Some kind of minnow I think, maybe just a common shiner. When fish are lethargic I switch to just a plain gold jig and waxy and seem to do much better. With that said though, I'll always have 3 or 4 rods with me with different setups to see what the fish want more. When they're negative like that, the slower the better and that's why I like a plain jig. I can rest it on my leg and barely move it. Fishing should only get better as the season progresses and we can get to better areas! Good luck out there!

@fishlovme Yeah, after rewatching the clip, I agree. It wasn't a white perch. This guy had the exact shape of a yellow perch, only it was sliver. So I'm stumped. And yes, fishing will only get better. Tight Lines!

Couple tips to help. When using a slider rig you should always keep the line tight never creating any slack. When u jig, slow it down don’t jig so heavy ,Jig it slow and soft like 5 times then pause and when you pause your line should be tight meaning your weight is on bottom and there is no slack in the line at all. Then keep Repeating this process over and over and you will do much better.

I have the exact same camo fold out chair and only use it now as a table or chair to sit the vexilar or the livescope on only now. Multi use! 🫡😁
